The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:
Mr. C. Byrne rode Quiet In Bresil (FR) (reserve) trained by Gearoid O'Loughlin (Race 5).P. Byrnes rode Whateys Quest (reserve) trained by C.Byrnes (Race 6).
123A SIS Supporting Irish Racing M'dn H'dle
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Try Them, trained by Emmet Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Poet's Duke, trained by Paul Nolan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at both nostrils post race.
C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Poet's Duke, trained by Paul Nolan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approaching the final hurdle involving Sonny Fella, ridden by C.P. Lamon and Try Them, ridden by D. Meyler, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. Meyler stated that he felt repeated pressure and interference from Sonny Fella. C.P. Lamon stated that his mount was leaning in. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found C.P. Lamon, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his clean record in this regard they suspended him for two racedays.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident at the last hurdle where it appeared that Figero, ridden by Michael Kenneally, jumped left across Codger's Rock (IRE), ridden by B. W. Harvey. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident turning away from the stands involving Diamond Secret (FR), ridden by B. Hayes, Poet's Duke, ridden by C. Stone-Walsh, Rosie's Wings, ridden by L.A. McKenna, Solar Generation, ridden by R.A. Doyle, and Sonny Fella, ridden by C.P. Lamon, where it appeared Diamond Secret clipped a heel. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. B. Hayes stated that the gap in front of him tightened up and he had to take a check. C. Stone-Walsh stated that he felt pressure from the outside on the bend when things tightened up. L.A. McKenna stated that his mount rounded the bend badly. R.A. Doyle stated that he was caught in the backlash of what happened in front of him. C.P. Lamon stated that his mount came in a bit but that he was aware of the horses on his inside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend between the second last and the last hurdle, involving Rosie's Wings, ridden by L.A. McKenna and Sonny Fella (GB), ridden by C.P. Lamon, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. L.A. McKenna stated that he had to take a check when Sonny Fella (GB) came in on top of him and felt contact. C.P. Lamon stated that he tried to cut the bend and was not aware that Rosie's Wings was on his inside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Thomas Mullins, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Figero, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Thomas Mullins stated that his charge did not like the soft ground on his hurdles debut and appreciated todays better ground which may have brought about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content.
123B BOMAG Construction H'cap H'dleA. Harvey, rider of Shinnhill, trained by Neil McKnight, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly and pulled up.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident at the second hurdle, where it appeared Titanium (FR), ridden by E. Finegan jumped across Dairy Force, ridden by Sam Ewing, causing him to hit the wing. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident on the bend entering the back straight involving Bhean Saibhre, ridden by P.T. Smithers, Shinnhill, ridden by A. Harvey and Kasper Hauser (GB), ridden by C.M Hogan, where it appeared Bhean Saibhre and Shinnhill ran short of room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
123C CK Interiors M'dn H'dleThe Raceday Stewards granted a request from J.P. Flavin, trainer of Lanzhou (FR), for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification by an IHRB Official as per the provisions of Rule 90(i)
D. Robinson, rider of Scotty Joe, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount one paced and jumped slowly.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Midnight Musical, trained by Anthony McCann, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
123F Shanette Superior Space H'cap S'chaseThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on route to the final fence involving Nas Na Riogh, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe and Park That, ridden by M.P. Walsh, where it appeared it got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D.J. O'Keeffe stated that he kept off the rail as his mount was having a look on the previous circuit and that he was aware of Park That on the inside. M.P. Walsh stated that he pulled across to prevent his mount from going the wrong side of the railing. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed the riders first approach to the starter, where it appeared Lisleigh Lad, ridden by Alan O'Sullivan broke into a canter. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
123G Racing Again May 31 (P-Am) INH Flat RaceThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend before the road crossing involving Jurassic Bob, ridden by Kevin Healy, Minella Cyclone, ridden by Mr J.L. Gleeson, Returning Officer (FR), ridden by Mr H.C. Swan and Tea Biscuit, ridden by Mr B.T. Stone, where it appeared general bunching occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Kevin Healy stated that he felt pressure from his outside and his mount hung into the rail which he corrected. Mr J.L. Gleeson stated that he felt a bit of pressure from Jurassic Bob. Mr H.C. Swan stated that his mount is a big horse and that he maintained his line as best he could on a tight track. Mr B.T. Stone stated that his mount was leaning out and that he had tried to keep him straight when he felt pressure from his inside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.
E. Finegan, rider of Treadonmydreams, trained by Ciaran Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped very quickly and pulled up.

For this race meeting, the Raceday Stewards suspended the ‘Starting Procedures for Tape Starts’, and the IHRB suspended Rule 208 (i) and Rule 209 (i).
Prior to the running of Race Three the IHRB Clerk of the Course changed the official going to good.
