K.C. Sexton, rider of Poetic Twist, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount may not have appreciated todays going.

165B Old Harbour Bar (QR) M'dn H'dle

Mr O. McGill, rider of Undertheinfluence, trained by Noel C. Kelly, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount may not have appreciated todays going.

Mr B.M. Coonan, rider of Drumadeise, trained by P. Corkery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

Mr S. Connor, rider of Urinmydreams, trained by Norman Lee, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was too keen.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident rounding the bend into the back straight involving Tango Theatre, ridden by S.J. Fitzsimons, Celtic Crossing, ridden by P.J. O'Hanlon, and Move It On Over, ridden by G. Brouder where it appeared interference occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. G Brouder stated that he received pressure from his outside and he got forced out of position. P J O'Hanlon stated that pressure came from his outside which forced him in. S J Fitzsimons stated that he moved inwards as a result of the loose horse in front of him as he was cautious of clipping a heel. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found S J Fitzsimons was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays. .

G. Brouder, rider of Move It On Over, trained by John F. O'Neill, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount suffered inteference from his outside approaching the third last hurdle.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Annie's Belle, trained by Ms Claire O'Connell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

Anna McGuinness, rider of Not So Serious, trained by W.J.Lanigan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount stopped quickly.

R A Doyle, rider of Dylan Oak, trained by F.Oakes, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount pulled up injured.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dylan Oak, trained by F.Oakes, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on its right fore.

165D Paul & Carmel Fay Memorial H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards fined Declan Queally, trainer €65 for failing to fit the declared tongue strap to Moonovercloon, prior to entering the parade ring.

Kevin Healy, rider of St Lawrence's Well, trained by Declan Queally, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout.

165E T. Murray & Son Ltd Beginners S'chase

P.T. Smithers, rider of Glen To Glen, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount cocked his jaw and ran out at the last fence.

S. Fitzgerald, rider of Positive Energy, trained by Brian Francis Cawley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel. This was confirmed by an IHRB Vetenairy Officer that Positive Energy had blood at both nostrils.

C.M Hogan, rider of Finnfaraway (GB), trained by Patrick J. F. Hassett, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was flat out all the way.

B.W. Harvey, rider of Impero, trained by Cian Collins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount took a false step crossing the walkway near the finish line.

165F Mongey Comm. Galway Plate Trial Hcap Sch

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Ol Man Dingle, ridden by S. O'Callaghan, placed first, and Gaelic Arc, ridden by H.E. Sexton, placed second, where it appeared both horses came close together. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. H E Sexton stated that received a bump causing his mount to become unbalanced which cost him momentum. S O' Callaghan stated that as he hit the front his mount idled and further stated that there was no contact between the two. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action. .

For this race meeting, the Raceday Stewards suspended the 'Starting Procedures' for Tape Starts, and the IHRB suspended Rule 208(i) and 209(i).

Following Race 3 the going description was amended to Good on the hurdle and bumper courses.
