J.M. Sheridan, rider of Wo Wo Never, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung a little right between the two and the one furlong poles.

J.E. Harnett, rider of Chico Guapo, trained by Mark Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung throughout and ran around up the home straight.

161B Golf At Gowran Park H'cap

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the first bend involving Fate's Gambit, ridden by D.W. O'Connor, Love Bomb, ridden by Megan Telford-Kelly, Imnotleavinyou, ridden by J.M. Sheridan and New Divide, ridden by J. Pietropaolo, where it appeared New Divide had to take a check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D.W. O'Connor stated that he felt he had maintained his line, had not leaned in and that things became tight. Megan Telford-Kelly stated that her mount was keen and that she had tried to take back when things became tight. J.M. Sheridan stated that he was aware of the horses around him, maintained his line and felt he had caused no interference. J. Pietropaolo stated that he was on the rail when he suffered interference from the outside and had to take back. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

Sadhbh Tormey, rider of Apothic Red, trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount leaned left under pressure, up the straight.

161D Societies Welcome At Gowran Park H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Mythical Rock, trained by C.Byrnes, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the back straight, involving Morning Approach, ridden by D. Browne McMonagle and Miss Americana (GB), ridden by J.M. Sheridan, where it appeared Morning Approach suffered slight interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

J.S. Dalton, rider of Real Petite (GER), trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stumbled shortly after leaving the starting stalls causing him to lose his left stirrup briefly. Having viewed the recording of the race the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

161F Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Shambata, trained by J.P. Murtagh, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be showing signs of delayed recovery post race and had lost a right front shoe in running.

P.A. Harnett, rider of Isabella Johnson, trained by Aidan Melia, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed D.W. O'Connor, rider of Tiberius Thunder, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip regulation and stated that he miscounted. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied D.W. O'Connor was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record, they suspended him for two racedays.

161H Gowran Park H'cap

The Raceday Stewards informed Gillian Scott, trainer that Starting Monday, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident one furlong from home involving Doctor Grace, ridden by Gabriella Hill, Tero D'rosa, ridden by D.W. O'Connor, Java Wood, ridden by J. Pietropaolo and Elusive Duke, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at the brow of the hill in the back straight involving Booklight, ridden by W.M. Lordan, Doctor Grace, ridden by Gabriella Hill and Lauderdale King, ridden by A.J. Slattery, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W.M. Lordan stated that he gave a shout when things became tight and suffered interference. A.J. Slattery stated that as the field rolled in towards the rail he heard a shout from his inside and that he grabbed up his mount who is a big horse, with a good hold to attempt to straighten him. He further stated that he accepted that he could have done more. Gabriella Hill stated that she felt slight pressure, but that she had enough room on either side of her. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found A.J. Slattery was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record in this regard (third offence) they suspended him for eight racedays.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.M. Sheridan, rider of Elusive Duke, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the whip regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J.M. Sheridan was in breach of Regulation.10.3(g)( frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for three racedays.
