The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D.S. O'Sullivan, rider of Lamar River, trained by Daniel William O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his saddle slipped.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Never Loose, trained by J.A.Stack, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Joseph G. Murphy, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Lord Massusus, placed first, as compared with its most recent run in the Curragh on the 29th of August when finishing 10th of 17 runners. Joseph G. Murphy reported the first time blinkers may have contributed to todays improved performance. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted its contents.

S. Foley, rider of Down The Glen, trained by Ross O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got hampered leaving the stalls.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Suir Monad, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount dived left when leaving the stalls and ran out of room turning in.

W. Joyce, rider of Jp's Express, trained by Michael Mulvany, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got sandwiched leaving the stalls.

W.M. Lordan, rider of Purely, trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received a bump leaving the stalls.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Cladach, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a bump from his right in the dip.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Shay's Dream, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount reared up in the stalls, jumped forward as the gates were opening and got his nose caught in the gates, thereby causing him to be very slowly away.

R.P. Cleary, rider of Sweetie Too, trained by Brendan W.Duke, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away from the stalls.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed where Shay's Dream, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, reared as the stalls were about to open getting his nose caught in the gates causing them to rebound into his path. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident leaving the stalls involving Down The Glen, ridden by S. Foley, Suir Monad, ridden by A.J. Slattery, Jp's Express, ridden by W. Joyce, and Purely, ridden by W.M. Lordan, where it appeared several horses got tight for room as Suir Monad jumped left from the stalls. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident on the run out of the dip involving Suir Monad, ridden by A.J. Slattery, and Cladach, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, where it appeared Cladagh received a bump as Suir Monad was looking for room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed W. Joyce, rider of Jp's Express, concerning his use of the whip in in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip regulation adding that he miscounted. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied the rider was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record (second offence) they suspended him for four racedays.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed S. Foley, rider of Lunar Empress, concerning his use of the whip in in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his first use of the whip was for corrective purposes as his mount cocked her jaw turning in. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied the rider was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record, they suspended him for two racedays.

S. Foley, rider of Lunar Empress, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount cocked her jaw turning in.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Loingseoir, trained by M.C. Grassick, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

W.J. Lee, rider of Merisi Diamond, trained by Thomas Coyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Liam McAteer, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Bang Po, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Liam McAteer said the softer going conditions may have contributed to the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted its contents.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Classiest, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be have a small graze in the inside of its left fore fetlock but was otherwise post race normal.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Galileo Dame, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered leaving the stalls.

J.A. Powell, rider of Tamam Desert, trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel. The IHRB Veterinary Officer confirmed the animal to have a small sign of blood at both nostrils post race.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving the stalls involving Ankara (FR), ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed Placed, Navy Waters, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed Placed, and Teologia (FR), ridden by J.M. Sheridan where it appeared Teologia got short of room momentarily. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. G.F. Carroll said he was edging across when his filly leaned away from the horse on his outside. W'J' Lee said he held his ground on the rail and wasn't aware of the incident. J.M. Sheridan said he had to sit for a stride. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed W. Joyce, rider of Party Dress, concerning his use of the whip at the start of this race prior to lining up where he appeared to strike his horse prior to the off. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who said his mount was standing on the spot and not lining up with the others so he gave her a flick just to get her to go forward. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards noted the riders explanation and took no further action.

Due to operational reasons the Raceday Stewards gave permission for this race to be started by flag.

R. Donaghue-Leahy, rider of Soaring Sun, trained by Patrick J.Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount got carried wide at the first bend.

P.A. Harnett, rider of Belle Nuit, trained by Paul Nolan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to take a check turning in. The Raceday Stewards reviewed the video footage and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

R.C. Colgan, rider of Set To Win, trained by Luke W. Comer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Porters Corner (FR), trained by P. Twomey, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have coughed twice while being examined but was otherwise post race normal.
