The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

H.E. Sexton, rider of Frankie's Freebie, trained by Adrian Sexton, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned right throughout.

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Tom Mac, trained by Paul O'Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount felt lame and pulled up.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed D.E. Mullins, rider of Eternal Reward, trained by Ms Margaret Mullins, concerning his riding from the second last home where he appeared to continue when he was tailed off and his mount had no more to give. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he was confident his mount was able to jump the last two hurdles. He further added he knows the horse well from home and he stays well. Having viewed the recording and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards accepted the jockey's explanation on this occasion.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Eternal Reward, trained by Ms Margaret Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr D.L. Queally, rider of Mighty Berkshire, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had used his whip excessively. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied the rider was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record, they suspended him for two racedays.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed the riders' first approach to the start. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Coded Welder broke into a canter despite the rider's best efforts so they took no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from W.P. Mullins, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Venusienne (FR), placed , as compared with its most recent form in Kilbeggan on the 15th of June when finishing thrid beaten 38 lengths. W.P. Mullins said they made the running on its last run and she ended up running far too keen so the change of tactics appeared to help today. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted it.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed where Splashing Out, ridden by P.T. Smithers, didn't get the clearest run from the third last to the second last. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Funiculi Funicula (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have grazed both stifles but to be otherwise post race normal.

P. Townend, rider of Funiculi Funicula (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed the start of this race where Maxxum, ridden by D.J Gilligan, jumped off behind the field. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

Vincent Laurence Halley, trainer of Senecia, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge was scoped post race and was found to have burst a blood vessel.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the straight involving Daddy Long Legs (FR), ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, placed third, and Sunny South West, ridden by Mr D. O'Connor, placed second, where it appeared they bumped inside the final furlong. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. P.W. Mullins said he recieved a minor bump but felt it didn't affect his placing. Mr. D. O'Connor said he corrected his horse immediately after he shift left but felt he was always holding Daddy Long Legs. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action.

Mrs John Harrington, trainer of Chairmanforlife (FR), reported to the Clerk of Scales that her charge scoped dirty post race.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.M. Sheridan, rider of Minella Rockett, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who said the last strike was for corrective purposes. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied the rider was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record (third offence), they suspended him for eight racedays.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Minella Rockett, trained by John J.Nallen, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ducked a bit right in the last 50 yards.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Kirkland Sioux, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving stalls involving Mayflower, ridden by B.M. Coen, Johnny Soda, ridden by Adam Caffrey, Krasimir, ridden by G.F. Carroll, and Loch Gamhna, ridden by P.A. Harnett where it appeared Mayflower had to check after getting tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. B.M Coen said he had to check when it got tight from his left. Adam Caffrey said his mount changed legs and went right but he corrected him quickly. G.F. Carroll said his mount shied slightly from the horse outside him and leaned in but felt he corrected him quickly. P.A. Harnett said he felt some pressure from his left. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Louiescall, trained by David Harry Kelly, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount caught a heel in the dip before turning in.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Harry's Legacy (GB), trained by Ross O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly in the dip.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into two incidents coming out of the dip and approaching the straight. The first incident involved Wahraan (FR), ridden by L.F. Roche, and Ben Hur, ridden by Adam Caffrey, where it appeared both horses bumped. L.F. Roche said it was a minor bump and of no consequence. Adam Caffrey said he was angling out for run. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards took no further action. The second incident involved Louiescall, ridden by G.M. Ryan, Wahraan (FR), ridden by L.F. Roche, and Ben Hur, ridden by Adam Caffrey. G.M. Ryan said he got pressure from his left and clipped a heel. L.F. Roche said he didn't receive any interference. Adam Caffrey said his horse rolled in on the bend but felt he did everything he could to keep straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Adam Caffrey was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record (second offence), the Raceday Stewards suspended him for four racedays.

The following Raceday Stewards acted on behalf of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board at this race meeting: Justice Raymond Groarke (Chairman), Ms. Mary Cosgrave, Mr. Bryan F. Murphy, Mr. Anthony M. Ryan, Mr. L. Walsh.

For this race meeting the Raceday Stewards suspended the "starting procedures for tape starts" and the IHRB suspended Rule 208 (i) and Rule 209 (i).
