The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

E. Walsh, rider of Good Deal, trained by Patrick Magee, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped left throughout.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Good Deal, trained by Patrick Magee, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the late arrival of Better Times trained by S.G. Carey, and ridden by R.A. Doyle, to the start which contributed to a delay to the off time of this race. Evidence was heard from the trainer and rider concerned. S.G. Carey stated that his charge can be difficult at the start and he sought permission to go to the start behind the other runners and that he simply mistimed his charges exit from the parade ring onto the track. R.A. Doyle confirmed the horses behaviour issues and that they wanted to go a little earlier but another runner was giving problems on the walkway. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found S.G. Carey was in breach of R.205(i) and in considering his clean record in this regard and his forthright evidence in the enquiry they cautioned him on this occasion.

B. Hayes, rider of Emerald Poet, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount became distressed close to the line.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Emerald Poet trained by W.P. Mullins was clinically abnormal post race.

M.P. O'Connor, rider of Fedneys Park, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

A. Balfe, rider of Schiehallion, trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and jumped right throughout.

P.M. O'Brien, rider of Another Girl, trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Hitthehayson, trained by Ian Patrick Donoghue, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Pictures Of Home (GB), trained by T.M. Walsh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

C.M Hogan, rider of Great Bird, trained by Liz Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

Owing to low lying sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for fences six and seven to be omitted for this race.
