The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Nikki Swango, trained by Adrian McGuinness, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
050C Floodlit Friday Nights At Dundalk H'capThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident early in the home straight involving Go Out (FR), ridden by Reese Holohan, Bold Optimist, ridden by R.P. Fagan, and Sandi O Mali, ridden by M.W Hassett where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Reese Holohan stated that the horse in front of him came across and he had to check. M.W Hassett stated that he received a slight bump from his inside. R.P. Fagan stated that his mount was leaning right but he tried his best to keep him straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action other than to remind R.P. Fagan to ride with more awareness in future. R.P. Fagan was accompanied by Daniel McLoughlin in this enquiry.
050D BAR 1 Betting Best Odds Guar. (QR) H'capThe Raceday Stewards granted a request from John J.Nallen, trainer of Minella Mate, for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification by an IHRB Official in accordance with Rule 90(i).
The Raceday Stewards interviewed Ms E. Dunseath, rider of Echinacea (GB), concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted she was in breach of the whip Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Ms. E. Dunseath was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and R.10.3(i)(time to respond). Having considered her clean record in relation to R.10.3(g), they suspended her for six racedays. Having considered her record in relation to R.10.3(i)(second offence), they suspended her for four racedays.
Mr S. Cavanagh, rider of Umala, trained by Robson De Aguiar, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly up the straight.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Umala, trained by Robson De Aguiar, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Riyami, placed first, as compared with its most recent run at Dundalk on the 16th of January. Philip Heenan, Authorised Representative for the trainer reported that his charge had a wind operation since his last run which may have contributed to the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.
050E Willie Buckley Memorial Apprentice HcapThe Raceday Stewards granted a request from Sean Byrne, trainer of Disco Boy, for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification by an IHRB Official in accordance with Rule 90(i).
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident approaching the first bend involving Rushford (GB), ridden by H.J. Horgan, and Deep Vein, ridden by Emily Grifferty, where it appeared Rushford ran short of room momentarily. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
Reese Holohan, rider of Deluca Chop (FR), trained by S.M.Duffy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left up the straight.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Midnight Stagger, ridden by Brandon Wilkie, Jurality (GB), ridden by J. Kearney, and My Vonnie, ridden by P.A. Harnett where it appeared My Vonnie ran short of room momentarily. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. P.A. Harnett stated that his mount was going backwards and he took a precautionary check. Brandon Wilkie stated that he took back off heels and his mount moved right half a stride more than he wanted but he corrected him immediately. J. Kearney stated that he was brought across slighty but did his best to keep straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
050F Irish Stallion Farms EBF Med Auct. M'dnThe Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving Egyptian Pharaoh (GB), ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed second, and Son Of Beauty, ridden by J. Kearney, placed first, where it appeared the two horses came close together. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
J. Kearney, rider of Son Of Beauty, trained by Stephen Thorne, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned right up the straight.
D.P. McDonogh, rider of Jojo's Legacy, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered inside the furlong pole.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Mooncoin, trained by Mark Fahey, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
At the request of the Raceday Stewards, C.D. Hayes, rider of Keepsgettingbetter, trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stayed on past beaten horses in the home straight.
050G Dundalk Winter Series Leading H'capJ. Kearney, rider of Imperial Fighter, trained by Patrick J. McKenna, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.
J.S. Dalton, rider of Manhattan Dandy, trained by Thomas Coyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right under pressure.
