GENERAL INFORMATIONThe Raceday Stewards used their powers under Rule 29 to appoint Mr Leslie Deacon as Security Officer at this meeting.
The following Raceday Stewards acted on behalf of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board at this race meeting:

Mr Noel Chance,
Mr H. Hynes.
Following an inspection and consultation with the IHRB Clerk of the Course, Lorcan Wyer, Trainer representatives, Adrian McGuinness and Michael Mulvany, Rider representatives, S. Foley, D. Browne McMonagle, D.P. McDonogh and R.P. Whelan (some of whom had participated in a pre race gallop), IHRB Medical Officer, Dr Adrian McGoldrick and the Racecourse foreman Sean Gamble, the Raceday Stewards delayed racing to allow for a further inspection at 5.45. Following a further inspection at 5.45, the Raceday Stewards made the decision under the provisions of Rule 10(i) to abandon the fixture due to persistent high gusts which were not forecasted to ease in the near future according to Met Éireann.
