149C Pension Structures Irish EBF M'dnThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Captain James Cook (GB), trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving Captain James Cook (GB), ridden by R.L. Moore, One Number (USA), ridden by D. Browne McMonagle, and Orchestrating, ridden by W.M. Lordan, where it appeared One Number drifted right towards the other two causing them to brush off one another. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tennesspeed (USA), trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
S. Foley, rider of Tennesspeed (USA), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not move well from the halfway mark.
149D TRI Equestrian M'dnThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at approximately the two furlong pole of this race involving Forbidden, ridden by R.P. Cleary, Highwayman (FR), ridden by J.M. Sheridan, and Finika, ridden by G.M. Ryan where it appeared there was contact between the three. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R. P. Cleary stated that his race was run and he maintained his line but received a slight bump. J. M. Sheridan stated that his mount shied away from the horse on his inside and made contact with the horse on his outside. G. M. Ryan stated his mount was running on and ran up on heels and when he took a check his mount went left. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards gave G. M. Ryan the benefit of the doubt on this occasion and they took no further action other than to advise G. M. Ryan to ride with more consideration for the riders around him in future.
S. Foley, rider of Trek Home, trained by Daniel James Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran green throughout.
149E Sky Bet Price Boosts Premier H'capD.W. O'Connor, rider of Ipanema Queen, trained by Robson De Aguiar, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned right from half a furlong down.
W.M. Lordan, rider of Cool Azul, trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left for the last two furlongs.
K.G. Kennedy, rider of Shadow Run, trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.
149F Sky Bet Race To The Ebor H'capA.J. Slattery, rider of Factual Fact (FR), trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount clipped a heel early on.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving the stalls involving Holy See, ridden by J.A. Orr, Perry Mason (GB), ridden by L.F. Roche, Too Bossy For Us, ridden by S. Foley, Granite Bay (GB), ridden by R.P. Whelan, Tribal Star, ridden by Reese Holohan, Yulia (FR), ridden by D.P. McDonogh, and Factual Fact (FR), ridden by A.J. Slattery where it appeared Factual Fact ran short of room and clipped a heel. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J. A. Orr stated that he received pressure from the outside. L. F. Roche stated that his mount jumped quickly and half stumbled and he felt it was general bunching. S. Foley stated that he felt Granite Bay jumped left from the gates and was a contributing factor. R. P. Whelan stated that his mount stepped left from the stalls but then he maintained his line. Reese Holohan stated that his mount jumped a small bit right. D. P. McDonogh stated that his mount jumped slow but kept straight. A. J. Slattery stated that things got very tight leaving the gates, he got shuffled back and clipped a heel but he was unsure from which side the pressure came. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.
149G Try Racing TV For Free Now (F) M'dnW.J. Lee, rider of Porters Corner (FR), trained by P. Twomey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left off the rail turning in.
149H Sky Bet Build A Bet H'capThe Raceday Stewards requested a report from Kieran P. Cotter, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Sommelier (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Kieran P. Cotter stated that the application of first time cheek pieces coupled with a positive ride had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.
W.J. Lee, rider of Jon Riggens, trained by Edward Lynam, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged right.
T. Casey, rider of Eichan San, trained by Daniel James Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.
The Raceday Stewards informed Andrew Kinirons, trainer of Ukiyo, that a repeat performance from his charge, who had to be lead to the start, may render the animal liable to suspension in the future.
