174C Jebel Ali Racecourse & Stables Dash StksThe Raceday Stewards informed G.M.Lyons, trainer that Silk Braid, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
R.P. Whelan, rider of Fregada, trained by John James Feane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was intimidated and had his ground taken in the closing stages.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed the racing line taken by Tango Flare, ridden by L.T. McAteer, in relation to Fregada, ridden by R.P. Whelan in the closing stages. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Tango Flare was clear of Fregada when drifting and that no further action was warranted.
174D Dubai Duty Free Irish EBF Ragusa HcapJ.J.G. Ryan, rider of The Real Screamer, trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got worked up and fly leapt from the stalls.
R.P. Whelan, rider of Factual Fact (FR), trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never let herself down on the ground.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Factual Fact (FR), trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Obscenity, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Gavin Cromwell, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of In My Teens, placed first, as compared with its recent run. Justin McGovern, Authorised Representative, for the trainer reported that the fast early pace in this race brought about the improvement today. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted its content.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Cloud Seeker (GB), ridden by A.J. Slattery, What's Your Game, ridden by D.W. O'Connor and Navy Waters, ridden by W.J. Lee where it appeared Navy Waters got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. A.J. Slattery stated that he followed the leaders and his horse began to tire and rolled around. D.W. O'Connor stated that his horse was tiring and leaned left when he heard a shout and he corrected his mount. W.J. Lee stated that he followed the winner as they turned into the straight, he raced into a gap and the horses either side of him rolled in. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving The Real Screamer, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, and Retracement, ridden by B.M. Coen where it appeared Retracement had a check momentarily. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.J.G. Ryan stated that after turning into the straight, his mount leaned in a little and he straightened him up. B.M. Coen stated that his mount picked up between the two and the one furlong poles. His run petered out, he had to sit for a stride as a precaution but it didn't affect him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.
174E Dubai Duty Free International StakesG.F. Carroll, rider of Geryon, trained by G.M.Lyons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was badly squeezed inside the final two furlongs.
R.L. Moore, rider of Isaac Newton, trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount didn't jump from the stalls like he normally does and was very slowly into stride.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Crown Of Oaks (GB), trained by William Haggas (in GB), at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final two furlongs involving Trustyourinstinct, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, Sindria, ridden by D. Browne McMonagle and Geryon, ridden by G.F. Carroll where it appeared Geryon got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.M. Sheridan stated that he followed Purview, Geryon had come off the rail for a run, he didn't give a big bump and he put his stick down and kept straight. D. McMonagle stated that his filly moved out when her hind quarters got hit but that he kept generally straight. G.F. Carroll stated that he received interference from the left. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found J.M. Sheridan in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended them for two race days.
174F Dubai Duty Free Irish DerbyThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined James J Braddock (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
174G Dubai Duty Free Celebration StakesThe Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving Tokenomics (FR), ridden by L.T. McAteer, and Duckadilly, ridden by S.T. McCullagh, where it appeared these horses came close together. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
174H Tulfarris Hotel And Golf Resort H'capThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Ryefield Dasher trained by Thomas Gibney was found to be a gelding and not a colt as shown on the passport presented. Having considered the report, the Raceday Stewards fined the trainer €130 in accordance with the provisions of Rule 148(xii).
The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.M. Sheridan, rider of Summer Is Tomorrow, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g)(frequency) and having taken his record into account (second offence) he was suspended for four race days.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Antigua, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
174J Dubai Duty Derby Festival H'capThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined State Actor, trained by W.T. Farrell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at both nostrils post race.
C.T. Keane, rider of State Actor, trained by W.T. Farrell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel.
D. Browne McMonagle, rider of Zarathos, trained by Dylan Cunha (in GB), reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned left throughout.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Pretty Omagh Girl, trained by A. Oliver, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race.
R.P. Whelan, rider of Playin Cool, trained by John James Feane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount shifted right under pressure.
