368A Adare Manor Opportunity M'dn H'dle
The Raceday Stewards granted a request from John Patrick Ryan, trainer of Bangor Lady, for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification by an IHRB Official as per the provisions of Rule 90(i).
S. Cleary-Farrell, rider of Glin Road Boy, trained by Eugene M. O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his saddle slipped.
E. Staples, rider of Keep The Head, trained by Patrick T. Foley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
At the request of the Raceday Stewards, Conor Clarke, rider of Justatan (FR), trained by Emmet Mullins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount came under pressure in the back straight and just stayed on one paced.
At the request of the Raceday Stewards, Anna McGuinness, rider of Mistyburn, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her mount was outpaced in the early stages and just stayed on in the closing stages.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Mistyburn, trained by P.J. Rothwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
368B William Hill Challenge Series H'cap HdleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined No Big Deal, trained by Charles O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
D. Robinson, rider of Speakasyoufind, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.
At the request of the Raceday Stewards, T. Power Roche, rider of Fernhill Fling, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung left off the home bend.
368C Jim Strang & Sons Kilsheelan H'dleP. Byrnes, rider of Shoot First, trained by C.Byrnes, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled in the early stages.
368D Thanks All For Your Support (QR) Mdn HdlAt the request of the Raceday Stewards, Mr R.W. Barron, rider of Michael's Jet, trained by V.C.Ward, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount blew up coming down the hill, tired at the second last hurdle and made a bad mistake at the last hurdle.
At the request of the Raceday Stewards, Mr B. Finn, rider of No Cure, trained by Gearoid O'Loughlin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was very keen in the early stages whilst trying to get him settled. He felt the field had split and that he only stayed on past beaten horses.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Michael's Jet, trained by V.C.Ward, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have lost a left fore shoe but was otherwise post race normal.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into the circumstances where No Cure, ridden by Mr. B. Finn and trained by Mr. Gearoid O'Loughlin crossed the parade ring after being mounted. Evidence was heard from Gearoid O'Loughlin, trainer, who stated that his charge is a bad kicker and when the horses in front of him stopped, they crossed the parade ring in the interests of safety. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards accepted the explanation given on this occasion and stressed it was not to be used as a precedent in future.
368E1 William Hill Challenge Series H'cap HdleThe Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident close to the line involving Great Island, ridden by C.M Hogan, placed first, and Maciver, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, placed second, where it appeared they came close together. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into the circumstances where it appeared Great Island ridden by C.M. Hogan and trained by Eoin Griffin crossed the parade ring after being mounted. Evidence was heard from the C.M. Hogan who stated that the groom crossed the parade ring as horses stopped in front of them. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Eoin Griffin was in breach of Regulation sixteen and in considering his clean record in this regard they fined him €100 on this occasion.
368E2 William Hill Challenge Series H'cap HdleThe Raceday Stewards requested a report from R.Donohoe, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Ballinaboola Jet, placed first, as compared with its recent form. R. Donohue, trainer, stated that they rode him handily on his previous start and he ran too keen so a change of tactics to hold him up today in his opinion contributed to the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content.
368G Clonmel Supporters Beginners S'chaseThe Raceday Stewards enquired into the circumstances where Moudan, ridden by E. Walsh and trained by Ciaran Murphy appeared to cross the parade ring after being mounted. Evidence was heard from E. Walsh, who stated that his mount can become edgy and has a history of kicking out so he instructed the groom to cross the parade ring for safety reasons. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards accepted the explanation given but stressed it was not to be used as a precedent in future.
