170A Ronan & Tom Gibbons Appr. Claiming Race
S.A. Wallace, rider of Rose Sienna, trained by Sean Davis, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped the road in the straight.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident turning into the back straight involving Rose Sienna, ridden by S.A. Wallace, Balance Of Trade, ridden by R.M Mulligan, Cameclose, ridden by W. Joyce, and Kart Of Gold, ridden by J. Kearney where it appeared Cameclose ran up on heels. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W Joyce stated that he went forward on the point of the bend which resulted in him taken off heels, he further added that he received no pressure from his outside. S A Wallace stated that he was unaware of the incident behind him. J Kearney stated that his mount didn't handle the bend that well but added that he kept his line rounding it. R M Mulligan stated that he rode his line rounding the bend and that he didn't make any contact with the horse on his inside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.
The Raceday Stewards received a report from the IHRB Clerk of the Scales regarding the fact that S Coen presented himself to weight out 2lbs overweight on Delusional which were not declared. The Raceday Stewards also received a request from Daniel McLoughlin, trainer, to substitute, S Coen with P A Harnett. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned,who stated that he he arrived forthy minutes before the first race and was unable to shed the weight required. Having considered the request and the evidence given the Raceday Stewards allowed P A Harnett take the ride. They were, however, satisfied that S Coen was in breach of Rule 198(vii) and having considered his record in his regard, (fourth offence) they suspended him for four racedays. Furthermore, the Raceday Stewards referred S Coen to the IHRB Senior Medical Officer to reassess his minimum riding weight.
170C Lodge At Ashford Castle M'dnW.J. Lee, rider of Coul Dreamer, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left from half way.
N.M. Crosse, rider of Drowsy Maggie, trained by Gerard Kyne, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.
170D Michael Joyce Memorial H'capL.F. Roche, rider of Lough Leane, trained by Maurice Andrew Ahern, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount didn't handle the ground.
170E J.J. Burke Peugeot H'capD. Browne McMonagle, rider of Rodeo Blues, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stumbled on leaving the stalls and hung left late on.
R. Donaghue-Leahy, rider of Canon Law, trained by Brendan W.Duke, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount rolled off the bend two furlongs out.
J.A. Heffernan, rider of A Pretty Penny, trained by Mrs Deborah Cody, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right.
S A Wallace, rider of Wedding Year, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran short of room two furlongs out.
R.M Mulligan, rider of Honey Dale, trained by Paul Mulligan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a slight bump half a furlong out.
170F GAIN The Advantage Series H'capD.P. McDonogh, rider of Eternal Echo, trained by David O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost it's action.
P.A. Harnett, rider of Miss Australie, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned right throughout.
170G Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) H'capThe Raceday Stewards requested a report from P. Twomey, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Deressa, placed first, as compared with its recent run when finishing 19th of 20 runners at the Curragh on the 23rd of May. P Twomey stated that the application of a tounge strap, slower ground and a step up in trip brought about the improvement . Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted its content.
