Sheridan, unplaced, Gentle Breath, ridden by W. Joyce, placed sixth, and Party Dress, ridden by N.M. Crosse, unplaced, where it appeared Party dress ran short of room and clipped a heel. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. G. M. Ryan stated that as the horses on the outer moved in he could see things getting tight and he took back. W. J. Lee stated that his mount locked on and carried him into the gap. J. M. Sheridan stated that he was clear and gave plenty of room as he tracked across. W. Joyce stated that he jumped smart and got a position and heard no shout. N. M. Crosse stated that he received pressure from his outside and caught a heel. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and they therefore took no further action. Mrs. T. K. Cooper recused herself from this enquiry.

D Hayes stated that he felt he was clear when he moved across. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards could not conclusively apportion blame to any rider and they therefore took no further action. Mrs. T. K. Cooper recused herself from this enquiry.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Encosta, trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stumbled in running. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he had used his whip three times and had not used excessive force. Evidence was also heard from the IHRB Veterinary Officer who stated that the marks were minor and that a unrelated skin abrasion may have contributed to the marks. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, including photographic evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that W. Joyce was not in breach of Regulation 10 and they took no further action.
