The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Mr. J.P. Berry replaced Miss F. Leaney on Backinabit, trained by J.P.Dempsey (Race 7)(injured)
Mr. H.E. Sexton replaced Mr R.A. Berry on Essential Part, trained by Adrian Sexton (Race 6)(Stewards permission).

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Cut The Rope (FR), trained by Paul Nolan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

M.J.M O'Sullivan, rider of True Testimony, trained by P.A.Fahy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, J.J. Slevin, rider of Rebel Cowgirl, trained by M.A.Cahill, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount got outpaced leaving the back and was ridden to get home thereafter. .

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Rebel Cowgirl, trained by M.A.Cahill, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Brennus Lescribaa (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Brennus Lescribaa (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Finished Article, trained by T.M. Walsh, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race.

371E Care At Home Services (M) M'dn H'dle

P. Townend, rider of Crack The Sky (GB), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped poorly throughout.

R.J. Condon, rider of You Make Me Smile, trained by P.A.Fahy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the second hurdle.

The Raceday Stewards received a request from Adrian Sexton, trainer of Essential Part, to substitute the nominated rider Mr R.A. Berry, with Mr H.E. Sexton, due to Mr. H.E. Sexton becoming available when his mount was declared a non runner. Adrian Sexton outlined that his son Mr. H.E. Sexton rides most if not all his horses but had been released to ride for Mr. Hanlon. He further explained that he had not spoken to Mr. R.A. Berry but stated that he would explain the situation once this rider arrived at the track. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed the request on this occasion.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Maimie's Magic, trained by S.R.B. Crawford, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr L. Burke-Ott, rider of Junot, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip guidelines and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr. L. Burke-Ott was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they suspended him for four racedays.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr J.P. Murray, rider of Cramers Valley, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr. J.P. Murray was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they suspended him for five racedays.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Miss P. Elvin, rider of Outdoor Mozzy, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated she lost count of the number of strikes she had used. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Miss P. Elvin was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered her record, they suspended her for five racedays.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Tuckmill trained by Peter Fahey was seen to have blood at both nostrils post race.

Miss P. Elvin, rider of Billy Lee Swagger, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount gurgled from the third last.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from P.J. Rothwell, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Cristiano Marealdo, placed first, as compared with its recent form. P.J. Rothwell stated that the drop back in trip, easier ground and a change in tactics is what he attributes the apparent improvement in form to. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

371G Bar One Racing INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the straight involving Typhoon Flyer, ridden by Mr J.W. Hendrick, placed second, and Iris Emery (FR), ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, placed third, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

Mr P.W. Mullins, rider of Iris Emery (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he dismounted after the line but that Iris Emery returned to the ring fine.
