C.D. Hayes, rider of Tai Tam Bay, trained by Eddie & Patrick Harty, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount raced keenly and got no run in the straight.

199B Ryan's Cleaning Apprentice H'cap

J. Coen, rider of Sunday Sovereign (GB), trained by James McAuley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right turning in.

Adam Caffrey, rider of Speckled Meadow, trained by Don Browne, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away from the starting stalls.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, S.D. Bowen, rider of Super Cub (GB), trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran keen down the back.

199D Dublin To Bahrain H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Vocal Studies, trained by J. S. Bolger, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race.

L.F. Roche, rider of Chavajod (GB), trained by D P Coakley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never handled the ground.

199E Aer Lingus College Football Meld Stakes

W.J. Lee, rider of Self Belief, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount rolled slightly right about one hundred and fifty yards out.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Trustyourinstinct, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have coughed twice while being examined post race.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from W. McCreery, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Self Belief, placed first, as compared with its most recent run at the Curragh. W. McCreery stated that he was very disappointed with Self Belief's last run and he felt that his charge may not of come down the hill on quicker ground and this coupled with todays softer going and a more suitable race may have helped to bring about today's apparent improvement. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

199F Clayton Hotel Leopardstown M'dn

D. McMonagle, rider of Tommy Thug, trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount rolled around under pressure.

J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Don Archilito (GB), trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left all the way.

199G Mongey Communications H'cap

R.P. Whelan, rider of Darraby (GB), trained by Brendan W.Duke, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Union Flag, trained by Noel Meade, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Matthew J. Smith, trainer following the performance of One Cool Poet in this race, which appeared to represent an improvement on it’s previous run's. Matthew J. Smith stated that his charge found the ground too quick the last day in Tramore and did not come down the hill well but he felt the ground was ideal tonight and this coupled with a strong pace helped bring about today's apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report and liaised with the IHRB Handicapper, the Raceday Stewards noted it’s contents. The Raceday Steward fined Matthew J. Smith €130 for failing to comply with his requirement under Rule 147(v) to lodge written notification with the Clerk of the sales of the appointment of an authorised representative to act on his behalf.

W.J. Lee, rider of One Cool Poet, trained by Matthew J. Smith, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stayed on passed tired horses.

199H Undertones Playing After Racing (F) M'dn

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Danvers Gold, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

S. Foley, rider of Danvers Gold, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran very keen throughout the race.

R.P. Cleary, rider of Finsceal Go Deo, trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to check his mount one and a half furlongs out after leaving the stalls.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving the stalls involving Danvers Gold, ridden by S. Foley, placed fourth, and Finsceal Go Deo, ridden by R.P. Cleary, placed third, where it appeared R.P. Cleary had to check his mount. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, R.P. Cleary stated that his filly jumped smart and was starting to settle when Danvers Gold came in on top of him and he had to check his mount. S. Foley stated that his filly was running very free, he wanted to get a lead and slot in but his filly was being very awkward. S. Foley also stated that he tried his best to keep his racing line. Having considered the evidence The Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that any interference which occurred was due to Danvers Gold running free and so took no further action.
