The Raceday Stewards interviewed O. McSweeney, rider of Curzon Queen, concerning his use of the whip in the home straight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. O. McSweeney accepted he was in breach and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found O.McSweeney was in breach of R.10.3(b) (the unnecessary hitting of a horse after its chance of winning or being placed is clearly gone) and considering his record in this regard they suspended him for two racedays.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed A.J. Slattery, rider of Final Check, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, A.J. Slattery accepted that he had breached the whip guidelines for frequency and added that he lost count as his mount kept responding to his urgings. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that A.J. Slattery was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his clean previous record into consideration, the Raceday Stewards suspended A.J. Slattery for three racedays.

J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Coach Madden, trained by David Marnane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left during this race.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from D. K. Weld, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Partisan Hero, placed third, as compared with its previous runs at Gowran Park 5th June and 18th April and Naas 6th November 2022. D.K. Weld reported that his charge was a big improving horse who can be idle and lazy. He added that the gelding worked well last week when fitted with cheek pieces and with an ease in the ground. He explained that his charge ran on tonights left handed track on the advice of C.D. Hayes who felt that the gelding would be better suited racing in this direction. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final one hundred and fifty yards involving Buddy One, ridden by Mr D. O'Connor, unplaced, Fermoyle, ridden by Mr Pat Taaffe, unplaced, Plains Indian, ridden by Mr A.P. Ryan, unplaced, and Sandymount Baby, ridden by Mr L.J. Carberry, placed sixth, where it appeared that Plains Indian ran short of room and was checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, Mr A.P. Ryan stated that his mount received pressure from Sandymount Baby on his outside which pushed his mount onto Fermoyle on his inside. Mr Pat Taaffe stated that he was maintaining his racing line when receiving pressure from Plains Indian on his outside. Mr D. O'Connor stated that he was riding close to the running rail and received very little interference. Mr L.J.
