The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference after the last involving We'llgowats, ridden by C.P. McNamara, placed first, Quornofamonday, ridden by K.M. Donoghue, placed third, and Mullins Cross, ridden by Shane Fenelon, placed second, where it appeared We'llgowats drifted across the track impeeding Quornofamonday and Mullins Cross. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C.P. McNamara stated that his mount was hanging but accepted he should have taken corrective action. K.M. Donoghue stated that he was staying on when receiving interference from his left. Shane Fenlon stated that he was carried right by the winner costing him a winning chance. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while We'llgowats had caused interference to both Quornofamonday and Mullins Cross, he did not improve his finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. They were, however, of the opinion that C.P. McNamara was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended him for three racedays.

Mr H.E. Sexton, rider of Kiss My Lucky Egg (GB), trained by Adrian Sexton, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount pulled her front left shoe in running.

K.M. Donoghue, rider of Quornofamonday, trained by J.P.Dempsey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount suffered interference going to the line.

Shane Fenelon, rider of Mullins Cross, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was badly hampered approaching the line.
