The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Barry J. Fitzgerald, trainer of Miss Meagher (off feed) - €200

211A Irish EBF Auction Series (Fillies) M'dn

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tartaraghan, trained by John C. McConnell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

J.A. Powell, rider of Newfire, trained by R.P.Cody, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was short of room after the first bend. The Raceday Stewards reviewed the video footage and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Ritournelle, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls.

W.J. Lee, rider of Au Lait, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left in the straight.

211B1 Ladies Day 2023 H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Corballis Flyer, trained by James M. Barrett, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of He Knows When, trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran keen throughout.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Kinda Tiny, trained by Timothy Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was badly hampered at the first bend.

C.J. MacRedmond, rider of Salt Whistle Bay, trained by Charles Coakley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was short of room at the first bend.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the first bend involving Kinda Tiny, ridden by G.M. Ryan, Salt Whistle Bay, ridden by C.J. MacRedmond, and Engines On, ridden by A.J. Slattery where it appeared both Kinda Tiny and Salt Whistle Bay were short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence G.M. Ryan stated that as a result of Salt Whistle Bay being hampered and coming back he was forced to take a check. C.J. MacRedmond stated that he ran short of room on the first bend after receiving pressure from his outside. A.J. Slattery stated that he was short of room on the first bend and was forced to his right because of general bunching. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and therefore took no further action.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed D. King, rider of Super Cub (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence D. King stated that he had used his whip six times in the backhand position and was just waving his whip close to the line. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards accepted his explanation and took no further action.

211B2 Ladies Day 2023 H'cap

Adam Caffrey, rider of Storm Eric, trained by Jamie Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right up the straight.

J.A. Powell, rider of Miss Slovakia, trained by Edward Lynam, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped awkwardly and raced keen.

211C Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

D. McMonagle, rider of Lady Lunette, trained by R.P.Cody, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a bump two furlongs from home.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the final furlong involving Arthur's Victory, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed sixth, Fools Glory, ridden by A.J. Slattery, placed fourth, and Bambeano, ridden by Orla McKenna, placed first, where it appeared interference may have taken place. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence C.T. Keane stated that he had to slightly check as Bambeano passed him and shifted left. A.J. Slattery stated that Bambeano did cross him late but was clear at the time. Orla McKenna stated that it was only her fourth ride in public and through her inexperience she was unable to change her whip hand but that she put her hands back on the reins when she felt her mount drift left. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found that Orla McKenna was in breach of Rule 214 in that she had ridden carelessly, and having considered her record and inexperience,the Raceday Stewards cautioned her on this occasion.

211E Get Galway Races Ready Apprentice H'cap

The Raceday Stewards informed Barry J. Fitzgerald, trainer that Molly Hall, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

Adam Caffrey, rider of Mr Mills, trained by Christopher David Timmons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Atlas, trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Andrew McNamara, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Red Trail, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Andrew McNamara, Trainer, stated that a combination of a drop in trip and it being a weak race may have contributed to the improved performance today. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

211G Darley Rathbride Stakes

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Moon De Vega (GB), trained by P. Twomey, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from A.P.O'Brien, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Jackie Oh, placed first, as compared with its recent run. Chris Armstrong, Authorised Representative for A.P. O'Brien, stated that the ground at Royal Ascot was too lively and the increased trip to nine furlongs contributed to the improved performance today. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

W.J. Lee, rider of Moon De Vega (GB), trained by P. Twomey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped slow, never travelled, found nothing and was eased down.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, K.K. Hennessy, rider of Dower House, trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was never going and was eased in the straight .
