The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

John C. McConnell, trainer of Reserve Judgement (declared in error) - €320
Liam P Cusack, trainer of Will It Be You (injured - late withdrawal) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Shane Fenlon rode Treyarnon Bay (reserve) trained by John Joseph Hanlon (Race 8)

339A Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners S'ch

Prior to the meeting, the Raceday Stewards approved a request from Clerk of the Course, Mr. Brendan Sheridan, to amend the distance of this race to 3 miles 122 yards, due to rail realignment.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Galon De Vauzelle (FR), trained by P.J. Rothwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

K.M. Donoghue, rider of Low Mileage, trained by J.P.Dempsey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake 3 out.

339B Adare Manor Opportunity H'cap S'chase

Prior to the meeting, the Raceday Stewards approved a request from Clerk of the Course, Mr. Brendan Sheridan, to amend the distance of this race to 3 miles 122 yards, due to rail realignment.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed D.P. Maxwell, rider of Faith Loving (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip guidelines. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that D.P. Maxwell was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 5 racedays.

339C Starting Point 3-Y-O M'dn H'dle

P.T. Enright, rider of Kirkuila, trained by James M. Barrett, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quicky.

339D Winter Festival 2nd & 3rd Dec M'dn H'dle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Solly Attwell, ridden by D.F. O'Regan, and trained by Cian Collins. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. D.F. O'Regan stated that his instructions were to jump off 4th or 5th. He added that his mount was green, and he was trying to get him to finish well on the soft ground. Furthermore he said he could not have finished any closer given the circumstances. Cian Collins confirmed the instructions given adding that in his opinion the horse finished tired and achieved his best possible finishing position. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Solly Attwell was post race normal. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, P. Cleary, rider of Lady Goliath, trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stayed on past tired horses in the straight.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Lady Goliath, ridden by P. Cleary, and trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. P. Cleary stated that his instructions were to drop in towards the rear and get her around on the heavy ground. He added that after the third last when he was happy that she wasn't going to empty he made the best of his way home and she ran on past tired horses in the straight. Dermot Anthony McLoughlin confirmed the instructions adding that he was concerned about the heavy ground and wanted his charge to finish out her race. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Lady Goliath was post race normal. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

339F BARONERACING.COM Winter Festival Hcp Hdl

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.I. Duggan, rider of Glenabo Bridge, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J.I. Duggan was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and R10.3(i)(time to respond) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 12 racedays.

S.F. O'Keeffe, rider of Blackjack Boy, trained by James M. Barcoe, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel. The I.H.R.B. Veterinary Officer subsequently examined the animal and report it to have blood at both nostrils post race.

A.P. Kelly, rider of Dylan Og, trained by Thomas Cleary, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

339G Sign Up To Gavin Lynch Racing H'cap H'dl

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Larkfield Lusive, trained by R.P.Rath, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

J.G. Gilligan, rider of Larkfield Lusive, trained by R.P.Rath, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tired.

339H The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners S'chase

Prior to the meeting, the Raceday Stewards approved a request from Clerk of the Course, Mr. Brendan Sheridan, to amend the distance of this race to 2 miles 118 yards, due to rail realignment.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, M.P. Walsh, rider of Inothewayurthinkin, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was having its first run of the season, took a blow 4 out and ran on after getting its second wind.
