L.T. McAteer, rider of Cash Or Crypto, trained by David Marnane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

M.P. Sheehy, rider of Nerano (USA), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was tight on the rail approximately a furlong and a half out.

R. Whearty, rider of Rockys Favourite, trained by Paul Mulligan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was very slowly away.

P.A. Harnett, rider of The Old Nine, trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to take a pull two out and switched to the inside. Having reviewed the incident, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

S. Foley, rider of Raknah, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right in the straight.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from Mr. D. Buckley, Security Officer, in relation to Mr. Daniel Dunne being present in the parade ring following this race. Evidence was heard from Mr. Buckley and from Ms. Katy Brown, trainer. Mr. Buckley stated that he noticed Mr. Dunne standing beside the horse in the parade ring post race despite him not being authorised to be in the parade ring. Ms. Brown stated that Mr. Dunne was walking through the parade ring. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards referred the matter to a Senior Racing Official for further investigation.

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Freescape (GB), trained by David Marnane, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from M.D. O'Callaghan, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of I Am Superman, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that he decided to give this horse a break to freshen him up which may have accounted for his return to form. Having considered the report, the Raceday Stewards noted its contents.

366D Gateway Hotel Dundalk Apprentice H'cap

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Riyami, ridden by C.M. Hogan and Glyde Ranger, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan where it appeared Riyami became tight for room on the inner. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C.M. Hogan stated that he nursed his horse along in the straight when it became tight on the outside rail. J.J.G Ryan stated that he was on the outside when his horse was intimidated from the inside. He heard a shout from behind and used his left rein to keep his mount straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that any interference which occurred was accidental and they therefore took no further action.

Adam Caffrey, rider of Sunny Dude, trained by D. Buckley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left in the straight.

M.P. Sheehy, rider of Capernoity, trained by J.F. Levins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his saddle slipped.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Adam Caffrey, rider of Comfort Line, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his mount was lugging to his right and he lost count of the number of times he used the whip. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g) in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency and having taken his record into account, they suspended him for four race days.

J. Kearney, rider of What Adaay (GB), trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left from half a furlong out.

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Master Garvey, trained by Joseph Anthony Murray, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have a cut mouth post race.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed D.P. McDonogh, rider of Dawn Rider, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his mount was responding and running on. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g) in that he used his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his record into account, they suspended him for eight race days.

J. Kearney, rider of Hollywood Star, trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned right throughout.

S. Foley, rider of New Phenomenon, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident leaving the stalls involving Ages Of Man, ridden by S.R Markey, where it appeared Ages Of Man stumble unseating S.R. Markey as a result. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The following Raceday Stewards acted on behalf of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board at this race meeting:

The Raceday Stewards received a report from Ms. M. Howard, Stable Yard Manager, regarding the conduct of Mr. A. McCann, trainer, in the stable yard prior to the first race. Evidence was heard from Ms. Howard and Mr. McCann. Ms. Howard stated that Mr. McCann and herself had a disagreement in the stable yard at Dundalk on Wednesday night and she tried to clear the air with him prior to racing tonight. However, Mr. McCann became abusive and she felt his behaviour was unacceptable. Mr. McCann stated that he was not abusive. Having considered the report, the Raceday Stewards advised Mr. McCann regarding his conduct in future.
