The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, trainer of Huxley (Off Feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Amy-Jo Hayes rode Harry The Rogue (reserve) trained by Andrew Slattery (Race 4)

318A Injuredjockeys Apprentice Claiming Race

J.A. Powell, rider of Dalvey (GB), trained by James McAuley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Magnetic North, trained by James McAuley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room at the first bend. The Raceday Stewards reviewed the video footage and were satisfied no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed the video footage of the run into the first bend where it appeared R. Whearty had to check. Having viewed the footage the Raceday Steward were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

318B View Restaurant At Dundalk Stadium H'cap

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the first bend involving Banana Three, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed second, Apprentice, ridden by A.C. Persse, unplaced, and Kitty McFee, ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed fifth where it appeared that Apprentice met with interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence A.C. Persse stated that he did not suffer interference but that his mount had rounded the bend poorly amongst horses. C.T. Keane stated that he was aware of two riders inside him and that he felt he kept straight. R.P. Whelan stated that he had a good rail position and did not feel he contributed to any interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.

318C Gateway Hotel Dundalk Race & Stay H'cap

The Raceday Stewards interviewed both J.A. Heffernan and K.K. Hennessy, riders of Martinstown and Londoner, both trained by A.P.O'Brien, in this race regarding the fact that they failed to present themselves to weigh out 15 minutes prior to the off time of this race as required under the provisions of Rule 196. In their evidence, J.A. Heffernan stated that he presented himself at the scales at 5.31 and K.K. Hennessy stated that he presented at 5.32.
Both riders explained that they travelled together, left in plenty time but met with heavy traffic at numerous points of their journey including a 45 minute delay at the Drogheda toll bridge. Having considered all the evidence the Raceday Stewards extended the time fixed for them to weigh out and noted their explanations..

318D Christmas Party Nights Nursery H'cap

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Raknah, ridden by S. Foley, unplaced, Alto Sax, ridden by J. Kearney, unplaced, and Uncle Albert, ridden by R.P. Whelan, unplaced, where it appeared Uncle Albert had suffered interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, R.P. Whelan stated that he was staying on one paced when he felt pressure from his inside and he took a precautionary check. J. Kearney stated that his mount was drifting right which was not helped by receiving a bump from his inner but that he felt he did his best to correct him. S. Foley stated that he received a slight bump from his inside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.

C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Mctenett, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jinked right inside the final furlong.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Uncle Albert, trained by Kieran P. Cotter, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he took a precautionary check and accepted that his race was over at that point .

318E1 Floodlit Fridays At Dundalk H'cap

D. McMonagle, rider of Coviglia, trained by H.D. McGuigan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room on the first bend. The Raceday Stewards reviewed the footage and were satisfied no further action was warranted. .

W.J. Lee, rider of Stormie Outlook, trained by E. J. O'Grady, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received a bump at the horse gate in the straight.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Stormie Outlook, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed second, and Von Krolock, ridden by M.W Hassett, placed first where it appeared that they made contact. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, W.J. Lee stated that when Von Krolock headed him he drifted right towards the horse gate and made slight contact with his mount. M.W. Hassett stated that his mount drifted right when he hit the front but he felt that he corrected him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.

318E2 Floodlit Fridays At Dundalk H'cap

J.A. Powell, rider of Rock Dandy, trained by P.J.F. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount moved poorly.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Shane Crawley, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Trishuli River, placed second, as compared with its recent form. Shane Crawley, trainer, stated that it was Trishuli Rivers first run on the All Weather surface and he feels this contributed to the apparent improvement in form this evening. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted its content.

318F Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) H'cap

D. McMonagle, rider of Queen Maedbh, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a bump at the bottom of the home straight. The Raceday Stewards reviewed the footage and were satisfied no further action was warranted.

318G Book Online At DundalkStadium.com M'dn

The Raceday Stewards informed Henry de Bromhead, trainer that Apple A Dey, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident inside the final furlong involving Bold Optimist, ridden by O. McSweeney, placed first, and Cross Border (GB), ridden by B.M. Coen, placed second, where it appeared they came close together. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
