W.J. Lee, rider of Red Hugh O'Donnell, trained by P. Twomey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the home straight involving Gosford, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, Contradanza, ridden by C.D. Hayes, and Theriverrunsdeep, ridden by S.D. Bowen, where it appeared Gosford ran short of racing room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

G.F. Carroll, rider of Circles, trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right in the home straight.

A.C. Persse, rider of Jake Peter, trained by M.A.Cahill, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount reared leaving the stalls.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Cara Susanna, trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount reared as the stalls opened.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Sky Legend (GB), trained by Philip M. Byrne, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ducked sharply left one and a half furlongs from the finish.
