The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Sarah Lynam, trainer of Screen Siren (declared in error) - €200

284A Bermingham Cameras Photo Irish EBF M'dn

The Raceday Stewards received a report from Ms. E. Costello, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer, that Our Dagger, trained by J. Larkin, was found to be a gelding and not a colt as shown on the passport presented. Having considered the report, the Raceday Stewards fined J. Larkin €130 in accordance with the provisions of Rule 148(xii).

L.Dettori, rider of Battle Fleet (FR), trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran green.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Il Pellegrino, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the circumstances surrounding the saddling of Battle Fleet prior to this race where the speed sensing equipment was removed from the saddle cloth. Evidence was heard from Pat Keating, Authorised representative for A.P.O'Brien, trainer, Elaine O'Farrell, speed sensing equipment and D.J. Condell, Racing Official. Pat Keating stated that the pouches holding the equipment were located at the front of the number cloth and would have sat between the saddle and the horses withers so they were removed. Having considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards referred the matter on the a Senior Racing Official for further investigation.

284D Fitzpatrick's Mercedes Joe McGrath H'cap

A.J. Slattery, rider of Curraheen Princess, trained by N.Stokes, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls.

C. Horgan, rider of Mount Ruapehu, trained by J.F.Grogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in stalls.

W.J. Lee, rider of The Highway Rat, trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

The Raceday Stewards informed Eoghan Joseph O'Neill, trainer that Hallowed Time, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

284E Goffs Million

The Raceday Stewards interviewed S.B. Kelly, rider of Chicago Fireball, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied S.B. Kelly was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they cautioned him on this occasion.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Chaturanga, trained by Archie Watson (in GB), reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had to take a bad check 2 furlongs out.

C.T. Keane, rider of My Mate Alfie, trained by G.M.Lyons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around in the closing stages.

S. Foley, rider of What A Squeeze, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount met with interference two and a half furlongs out.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident at around the two furlong marker involving Chaturanga, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, unplaced, My Mate Alfie, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed third, and What A Squeeze, ridden by S. Foley, unplaced, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

284F Ornella Underwriting Apprentice H'cap

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.F. Levins, trainer, in relation to his failure to nominate riders for his two runners in this race, Akmaam and Carlton Banks, before the deadline of one and a half hours before the time fixed for the running of the first race had expired. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that he had failed to find suitable riders for both his mounts due to the conditions of the race which meant only riders with a seven or ten pound claim are allowed to ride. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Akmaam and Carlton Banks and took no further action.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed M.W Hassett, rider of Magic Charm, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that M.W. Hassett was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they suspended him for five racedays.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at around the furlong marker involving Stay Local, ridden by H.J. Horgan, placed fourth, Magic Charm, ridden by M.W Hassett, placed first, and Bride Tree (GB), ridden by A.C. Persse, placed third, where it appeared Stay Local got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. H.J. Horgan stated that he got tight for room from his right. M.W. Hassett stated that his mount was mount was hanging to the left under a left handed drive. A.C. Persse stated that he kept a straight line and did not contribute to the incident. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.

H.J. Horgan, rider of Stay Local, trained by Aidan Anthony Howard, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room in the last furlong.

The Raceday Stewards informed Timothy Doyle, trainer that Goldmoyne, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
