The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

R. A. Doyle rode Billies Filly (reserve) trained by Martin Brassil (Race 4)
Mr. M. N. Sharpe rode The Nagger Reidy (GB) trained by Stephen Gerard Carey (Race 3) (Stewards permission)

326B Callan Tansey (Mares) H'cap H'dle

B.P. Kennedy, rider of Diverse Beauty, trained by Seamus Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left and was missing a shoe post race.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed B. Hayes, rider of Getabelle, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that B. Hayes was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (g) (frequency) and having taken his previous record into account they cautioned him on this occasion.

326C John Thomas McNamara Series QR Mdn Hdle

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Stephen Gerard Carey, trainer, for failing to nominate a rider in accordance with the provisions of Regulation 3-1. Evidence was heard from the trainer who stated that due to a delay in processing Mr. M. N. Sharpe's licence he was unable to nominate the rider on time. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for Mr. M. N. Sharpe to ride The Nagger Reidy in race 3.

Mr A. Burke-Ott, rider of Grizzley Adams, trained by Alexander Ott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr. M. N. Sharpe, rider of The Nagger Reidy (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (i) (time to respond). Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr. M. N. Sharpe was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (i) (time to respond) and having taking his previous record into account the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays. .

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Rossies Tara (GB), trained by Mark Michael McNiff, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Edward Cawley, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Any Day Now, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Edward Cawley stated that his charge may have benefited from making the running and setting a strong pace. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

326E Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn H'dle

J.G. Gilligan, rider of Just Three, trained by Paul John Gilligan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount raced keen.

326G Solar Generation INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr J. Costello, rider of Keeptheoldmanout, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr. J. Costello was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (b) (hitting their mount when out of contention) and 10.3 (g) (frequency). Having taken his previous record into account they suspended him for six racedays.
