The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

B. Hayes replaced J.S. McGarvey on Hard Fought, trained by Edward U.Hales (Race 1)(Injured)
B.F. Cawley replaced J.S. McGarvey on The Flying Doc, trained by James Joseph Mangan (Race 2)(Injured)
A.E. Lynch replaced J.S. McGarvey on Won In The Dark, trained by Denis W. Cullen (Race 3)(Injured)
M.A. Enright rode Stolberg (reserve) , trained by A.J. McNamara (Race 3)

129A Kingdom (Mares) M'dn H'dle

The Stewards fined James Joseph Mangan, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Easy Peezy, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference after the final hurdle involving Ask Vic, ridden by R. Walsh, placed first and Hell Cat Maggie, ridden by B.J. Geraghty, placed second, where it appeared Ask Vic had drifted towards Hell Cat Maggie. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings and took no further action.

Miss M. O'Sullivan, rider of The New Citizen, trained by Eugene M. O'Sullivan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her mount was settled at the rear but ran green, got outpaced in the earlier stages before staying on well in the closing stages.

Eugene M. O'Sullivan, trainer of The New Citizen, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge was found to be lame post race.

129B Harvest Fest. 14th-20th Sept H'cap H'dle

P.J. Rothwell, trainer of Dushy Springs, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge was fitted with a special bit today instead of applying a tongue strap, but the animal resented this in running and never travelled throughout.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Dushy Springs, trained by P.J. Rothwell, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame behind post race.

Augustine Leahy, trainer of Fantastic Bob, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on 11th July that his charge has had a wind operation since this run.

129C John J.Galvin H'cap H'dle

The Stewards enquired into an incident after the last hurdle involving Our Man Zebo, ridden by B.J. Geraghty, placed first and Thekingofconnemara, ridden by J.J. Burke, placed fourth, where it appeared Our Man Zebo drifted towards Thekingofconnemara in the last 100 yards. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was caused by B.J. Geraghty riding carelessly and consequently cautioned him having taken his clean previous record into consideration.

The Stewards received a report from P.L. Malone , Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that M.J. Bolger , rider of Grove Field , weighed in at 1.9 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he had been wasting to do his minimum weight of 10st and having weighed out comfortably within the rules he had a good drink of water. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that M.J. Bolger was in breach of Rule 231 and they therefore suspended him for 1 raceday having taken into consideration that this was his first breach of this rule.

A.J. McNamara, trainer of Stolberg, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Wednesday 4th June that his charge was found to be lame post race.

129E John B. Keane (Mares) Beginners S'

The Stewards fined M.P. Sunderland, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Andreas Pride, the winner of this race, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91.
