The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

L. Dettori replaced R. Hornby on Prosperous Voyage, trained by Ralph Beckett (in GB) (Race 3)(Stewards permission)

264A Ballylinch Stud Irish EBF Ingabelle Stks

R.P. Cleary, rider of Question Of Class, trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, C.T. Keane, rider of Apricot Ice, trained by G.M.Lyons, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount still felt quite weak.

264B KPMG Champions Juveniles Stakes

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the back straight involving Atlantic Coast, ridden by D. McMonagle, placed third, and Diego Velazquez, ridden by R.L. Moore, placed first, where it appeared there was contact between the two. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

264C Dullingham Park Stakes

C.T. Keane, rider of Salt Lake City, trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned left throughout.

J.A. Heffernan, rider of Alfred Munnings, trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran short of room for a stride down the inner.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Buckaroo (GB), ridden by O. Murphy, placed second, Alfred Munnings, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, unplaced, Bold Discovery (USA), ridden by L.Dettori, placed sixth, and Salt Lake City, ridden by C.T. Keane, unplaced, where it appeared Alfred Munnings had to check off heels. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. O. Murphy stated that his mount rolled around but felt he had tried to maintain his racing line. J. A. Heffernan stated that he had a long way to fill the gap but his mount was unable to do so and he took a precautionary check when things got tight. L. Dettori stated that his mount was intimidated by the horse on his outer. C. T. Keane stated that his race was run. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that O. Murphy had taken reasonable steps to avoid causing interference and they therefore took no further action.

264E The Royal Bahrain Irish Champion Stakes

S. Foley, rider of Sprewell, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not let himself down on the ground.

264F Irish Stallion Farms EBF 'Petingo' H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Jackfinbar (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Merlin Giant (FR), trained by Emmet Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have mild fore limb lameness and a small graze on the back of the left hock.

L.Dettori, rider of Jackfinbar (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran flat.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Merlin Giant (FR), trained by Emmet Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout.

264G Coolmore America 'Justify' Matron Stakes

R.P. Cleary, rider of Clever And Cool, trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

264H Ir.Stal.Farms EBF 'Sovereign Path' H'cap

The Raceday Stewards interviewed C.J. MacRedmond, rider of Current Option, concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered evidence from the rider, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that C. J. MacRedmond was in breach of Rule 211 and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended C. J. MacRedmond for one raceday.

D. Tudhope, rider of Bopedro (FR), trained by David O'Meara (in GB), reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was denied a clear run. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed R.L. Moore, rider of Broadhurst, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he had not used his whip with excessive force. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, including photographic evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that R. L. Moore was not in breach of Regulation 10 and they therefore took no further action. Mr. P. N. Reynolds recused himself from this enquiry.
