The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Siobhan Rutledge rode Together Aclaim (GB) (reserve) trained by John C. McConnell (Race 6)
Mr. P. Hanlon rode Pahlavi, trained by John Joseph Hanlon (Race 8)(Stewards Permission).

166A Irish EBF Auction Series Race

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Akkadian Emperor, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

G.F. Carroll, rider of Mary The Priest, trained by Joseph G. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped left from the stalls and leaned right off the bend turning in.

G.P. Halpin, rider of Promo Queen, trained by Christopher David Timmons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stood in the stalls and missed the break.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Basilah Bear, trained by David Marnane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls.

166B Awards & Gifts H'cap

C.J. MacRedmond, rider of Storm Eric, trained by Jamie Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran free and clipped a heel after two furlongs.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Noel Meade, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Chestnutter, placed first, as compared with its recent form. N. Meade, trainer, stated that the removal of all headgear coupled with a more positive ride contributed to the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

166C Racing With Pride H'cap

S.M. Crosse, rider of Relevant Range, trained by Gillian Scott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount raced too keen.

J.A. Powell, rider of One Boss (GB), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Rio Largo, trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped right from the stalls.

166D Richmond Homes H'cap

S.T. McCullagh, rider of National Emblem, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

G.F. Carroll, rider of Cosmic Invasion, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of City Exile (GB), trained by David Marnane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hit its head off the gates and then did it a second time causing it to be slowly away.

J.A. Powell, rider of Encosta, trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got pressure from his outside after a furlong.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed the start of the fifth race where all stalls failed to open at the first attempt. All stalls opened on the second attempt and the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that a fair start had been effected. Furthermore the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board starter Mr. Derek Cullen reported that the stalls were tested numerous times after the race and were satisfied that they were in working order. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.

166E Mark McCabe H'cap

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after a couple of furlongs from the start involving Smaoineamh Sile (GB), ridden by Cillian McConnell, Reverberation (GB), ridden by J.A. Heffernan, and Kirikiriroa, ridden by J.A. Powell where it appeared Reverberation had hit the rails. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J. A. Heffernan stated that he was drawn one and his mount was running very keen, he stated that it was very tight in such a large field but that nobody was at fault. J.A. Powell stated that he was drawn six and moved across towards the rail but was confident he was clear of horses inside him. Cillian McConnell stated that he broke well from a wide draw and moved across but was clear of all horses inside him when doing so. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.

166F Vintage Voyager M'dn

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Balnarring Beach, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

166G Leopardstown Annual Members (QR) M'dn

The Raceday Stewards interviewed John Joseph Hanlon, trainer, concerning the failure to nominate a rider before the designated time for Pahlavi. Evidence was heard from the trainer who stated that Mr. P. Hanlon's licence was not issued until after the declaration cut off time. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed the rider request and noted Mr. John Joseph Hanlon's explanation.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Enniskerry, ridden by Mr F. Maguire, placed first, Mon Coeur, ridden by Mr J.L. Gleeson, placed second, Whatawit (GB), ridden by Mr H.C. Swan, placed third, and Bella Nebula, ridden by Mr D. O'Connor, placed sixth, where it appeared Bella Nebula met with interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. D. O'Connor stated that early in the straight he received pressure from both sides. Mr. J.L. Gleeson stated that he moved out to challenge and he received pressure from his outside. Mr. F. Maguire stated that he received a bump from his inside causing his mount to turn inwards. Mr. H.C. Swan stated that he felt he kept straight and was not involved in the incident. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Mr. J.L. Gleeson, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for four racedays.

Mr A. Harvey, rider of Aussie Warrior, trained by Thomas R. Hughes, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped very quickly.
