The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Patrick Neville, trainer of Kemboy (Going) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

K. Noonan replaced R. Dawson on Tale Of Fame (ITY), trained by F.Costello (Race 4)(Injured)
T.P. Madden rode Bogha Baisti (reserve) , trained by Mrs. Y. Dunleavy (Race 4)
B.R. Dalton rode Lisduane (reserve) , trained by Patrick Neville (Race 6)

W.J. Lee, rider of Vasoni, trained by Timothy Doyle, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount slipped on the bottom bend.

The Stewards interviewed K.J. Manning, rider of Teocht, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that K.J. Manning was in breach of R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive frequency and suspended him for 1 raceday having taken his previous record into consideration.

The Stewards interviewed C.P. Hoban, rider of Carenza, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that C.P. Hoban was in breach of R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive frequency and consequently severely cautioned him having taken his previous good record into consideration.

The Stewards enquired into the circumstances whereby High Hill Beauty, trained by John Joseph Murphy, and ridden by J.M. Conneely, had to be resaddled due to the wrong number cloth being fitted. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned and from P.L. Malone, Turf Club Clerk of the Scales. Having considered evidence, the Stewards cautioned John Joseph Murphy concerning his responsibility when saddling in future and also advised P.L. Malone to be more careful when observing number cloths at the time of weighing out.

The Stewards enquired into the fall of Killourney Empress, ridden by C.T. Keane when rounding the bottom bend. C.T. Keane stated that his mount lost her grip on the bottom bend and slipped up independently. Having considered the evidence and viewed a recording of the incident, the Stewards were satisfied that the fall was accidental and took no further action.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined It's Freezing, at the request of trainer, Seamus Fahey, and reported the animal to be lame post race.

179F Malton H'cap H'dle

John Winston, rider of Curragh Golan, trained by Garrett James Power, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was pulled up having gone lame behind.

D.G. Hogan, rider of Benalex Park (GB), trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount did not handle the ground.
