Prior to the meeting, the Raceday Stewards approved a request from Clerk of the Course, Mr L. Wyer, to amend the distance of this race to 7 furlongs and 9 yards (+ 9 yards), due to the track realignment since declaration time.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident rounding the final bend involving I'll Rise, ridden by C.T. Keane, unplaced, and The Crafty Girl, ridden by L.T. McAteer, unplaced, where it appeared that I'll Rise was checked at the area of the split rail. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, C.T. Keane stated his mount got racing in the dip and on rounding the final bend, the rail disappeared and the incident happened. L.T. McAteer stated that his mount was running green when lugging in and came off the split rail to follow the line of the bend. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanations and took no further action.

R.P. Cleary, rider of Glor Tire, trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran short of room in the straight.

L.T. McAteer, rider of The Crafty Girl, trained by Barry J. Fitzgerald, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right turning into the straight.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Rahmi, trained by J.P. Murtagh, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Mister Wilson, trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing and slightly lame post race.
