The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.J.G. Ryan replaced O. McSweeney on Chavajod (GB), trained by D P Coakley (Race 2)(Stewards Permission - see enquiry)

039A Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

R.C. Colgan, rider of Breathe Again, trained by Ms. Sheila Lavery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Ellie B, trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

039B Put The Fun In Fundraising H'cap

The Raceday Stewards received a request from D. P. Coakley, trainer of Chavajod (GB), to substitute the nominated rider O. McSweeney, with J.J.G. Ryan, due to O. McSweeney being unable to weigh out at the correct weight. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. D. P. Coakley stated that he received a call earlier today from O. McSweeney informing him that he would be unable to make the weight. O. McSweeney stated that he didn't have the time he thought was necessary to lose weight and informed the trainer as early as he could. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found O. McSweeney was in breach of Rule 195 and 198 and having taken his previous record into consideration the Raceday Stewards fined him €150 on this occasion. Furthermore, the Raceday Stewards granted D.P. Coakley permission to replace O. McSweeney with J.J.G. Ryan on this occasion.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed C.J. MacRedmond, rider of Hightimeyouwon (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, C.J. MacRedmond accepted he was in breach of the Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied C.J. MacRedmond was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (second offence), they suspended him for four racedays.

039C View Restaurant At Dundalk Stadium M'dn

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Zazir, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, and trained by Denis Gerard Hogan. Evidence was heard from the rider and the authorised representative for the trainer concerned. J.M. Sheridan stated that his instructions were to ride his mount forward and positive but he felt the trip was too sharp and he was flat out from early on. He added that his mount was off the bridle before the turn in and had a slightly awkward head carriage in the closing stages. Phil Heenan, authorised representative for Denis Gerard Hogan confirmed the instructions given and stated that he was happy with the ride but disappointed with how his charge ran. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Zazir was examined and found to be post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanations given on this occasion.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Sunset Nova, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was tight for room in the early parts of the race.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Angel Of The Sea, trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount acted up in the gates.

Adam Caffrey, rider of Teddy's Dawn, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slightly hampered turning in. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

039E Racing TV Club Day H'cap

R. Whearty, rider of Musical Tribute (GB), trained by Keith Henry Clarke, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was tight for room about about a furlong and a half down.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, R.M Mulligan, rider of Daamberdiplomat, trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount has a tendency to pull up when he hits the front and that when he won on him previously he had hit the front too soon, gone nearly a length up when his mount pulled up in front and just won by a head. Furthermore, he stated that his intentions today were to hold on to his mount for as long as he could and land him on the line .

039F DundalkStadium.com Apprentice H'cap

The Raceday Stewards interviewed S.R Markey, rider of Gracesolution, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, S.R. Markey accepted he was in breach of the Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied S.R. Markey was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard(first offence), they suspended him for one raceday.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Turf Range, ridden by D. King, unplaced, Hasten Slowly, ridden by C.D. Fahy, unplaced , and Three Comets (GER), ridden by J. Kearney, unplaced, where it appeared Hasten Slowly drifted badly left causing interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J. Kearney stated that he kept a straight line and had to take a slight check. D. King stated he had to take a slight check off heels. C.D Fahy stated that his mount hung violently left and he tried to correct her immediately but he knew he had already caused interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found C.D Fahy, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard(first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended him for one raceday .

C.D. Fahy, rider of Hasten Slowly, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left up the straight.

039G Floodlit Friday Nights At Dundalk H'cap

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Celtic Revival, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, placed third, Garrick Painter, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed sixth, and Picpoul, ridden by R.P. Cleary, unplaced , where it appeared Celtic Revival crossed Garrick Painter and Picpoul. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

Adam Caffrey, rider of Pillar Of Hope (GB), trained by H.D. McGuigan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left up the straight and had to take a check off heels about one hundred and fifty yards from the line. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

039H Dundalk Winter Series Championship H'cap

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Special Angel, trained by Adrian Murray, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung violently right throughout.
