The following trainer was fined €200 for the non-notification of a Veterinary Certificate in accordance with the provision of Rule 194(v) (vi):

The following trainer was fined €500 for the non-production of a Veterinary Certificate in accordance with the provisions of Rule 194(v):

J.J.Lambe for She's Not Simple at Dundalk 22nd November 2013.

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

R.P.Downey replaced C.J. Elliott on King's Bastion, trained by Luke Comer (Race 2)(unwell).
C.P.Hoban replaced G.J. Phillips on Ningaloo Reef, trained by Garvan Donnelly (Race 4)(injured).

318B Christmas Party Nights Apprentice H'cap

The Stewards enquired into two incidents shortly after the start of this race involving La Oliva, ridden by Anastasia O'Brien, unplaced, Seven Samurai (USA), ridden by R. Dawson, unplaced, Settle For Red, ridden by C.P. Hoban, placed fifth, Danequest, ridden by P.K. Donovan, placed fourth, The Frog Prince, ridden by L.F. Roche, unplaced and Well Insured, ridden by G.J. Phillips, who was unseated in the second incident. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned, in the presence of Mrs. Anne Marie O.'Brien, who accompanied Anastasia O' Brien at the enquiry. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the stewards were of the opinion that the first incident was accidental and took no further action, however they were of the opinion that both C.P.Hoban and L.F.Roche were in breach of Rule 214, having ridden carelessly in the second incident and after considering their records , suspended each rider for two race days.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final furlong involving Rummaging, ridden by S. Foley, placed first, Knock Stars, ridden by C.P. Hoban, placed third and Antiquus, ridden by W.M. Lordan, placed second. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judges placings, however, they were of the opinion that S.Foley was in breach of Rule 214, having ridden carelessly and after considering his record, suspended him for five race days.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Dusty In Memphis (USA), trained by David Wachman, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race.

318F(i) Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey&Trainer Hcap (Division One)

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Secret Locket, at the request of trainer, D. K. Weld, and reported the animal lame post race.

318F(ii) Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey&Trainer Hcap (Division Two)

The Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final furlong involving Lord Kenmare (USA), ridden by S. Foley, placed fourth, Our Manekineko (GB), ridden by P.J. Smullen, unplaced and Royal Beauty, ridden by D.M. Grant, unplaced. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was accidental and took no further action.

P.J. Smullen, rider of Our Manekineko (GB) trained by J.A. Nash, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped a shadow in running.
