The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.A. Powell rode Red Cymbal (GB) (reserve) trained by James McAuley (Race 6)

346A1 View Restaurant Median Auction M'dn

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Jaadil, trained by G.M.Lyons, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Dandy Lichious, trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped left from the gates.

W.J. Lee, rider of Tiger King (FR), trained by Richard John O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ducked for the horse gate in the straight.

S. Foley, rider of Celebrity Icon, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned left in the straight.

346B Irishinjuredjockeys.com Claiming Race

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Brains, trained by E. McNamara, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from Mr. D. Maher, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that S. Foley, rider of Monzoon (GB), weighed in at 1.2 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he had a small drink after weighing out and he attributes the increase in weight to this. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that S. Foley was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his record, they cautioned him on this occasion.

346D Gateway Hotel Dundalk Race & Stay H'cap

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident just outside the furlong pole involving El Bello (GB), ridden by C.M Hogan, placed fourth, Kiwi Kiss (FR), ridden by C.D. Maxwell, unplaced, and Poet's Pride (GB), ridden by W. Joyce, placed sixth, where it appeared C.D. Maxwell had to take a check on Kiwi Kiss after suffering interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C.M. Hogan said his mount drifted left as he was changing his stick. C.D. Maxwell said he had to take a check after getting pressure from his right. W. Joyce stated that he kept a straight line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found C.M. Hogan was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.

346E Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk H'cap

The Raceday Stewards interviewed C.D. Fahy, rider of Coco Hill, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that C.D. Fahy was in breach of R10.3(b)(out of contention) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 2 racedays.

346F1 Now Racing Every Wednesday Dundalk H'cap

R.P. Whelan, rider of Doctor Grace, trained by M. Halford & T. Collins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls.
