The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

R. Walsh replaced A.P. Heskin on Velvet Maker (FR), trained by A.J.Martin (Race 2)(Injured)
R. Walsh replaced A.P. Heskin on Valmy Baie (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 3)(Injured)
D.A. Jacob replaced A.P. Heskin on Sarabad (FR), trained by C.A.McBratney (Race 6)(Injured)

301B Tayto Group M'dn H'dle

M.P. Fogarty, rider of Fruits Of Glory, trained by Edward Cawley, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made a respiratory noise in running.

301G Daily Mirror (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

D. Meyler, rider of Gladiator King, trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount slipped up independently on the bend past the stands.

The Stewards interviewed Mr J.C. Barry, rider of Round Tower, concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr J.C. Barry was in breach of R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive frequency and consequently suspended him for 7 racedays having taken his previous record into consideration. Furthermore, the Stewards ordered that Mr J.C. Barry attend R.A.C.E for one days tuition on the correct use of the whip.
