071C Tote Always SP Or Better H'cap H'dle

G.P. Brouder, rider of I Don't Get It, trained by Neill McCluskey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left throughout the race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Trishknowsbest, trained by Ian Patrick Donoghue, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have lost a left fore shoe and to have a few skin scrapes but was otherwise post race normal.

071E Randox Ulster National H'cap S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined The Jam Man, trained by Ronan M.P. McNally, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have lost a left fore shoe but was otherwise post race normal.

G. Brouder, rider of Forza Milan, trained by J.A. Nash, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount pulled up lame.

A.P. Kelly, rider of The Jam Man, trained by Ronan M.P. McNally, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and pulled up.

S. O'Callaghan, rider of Welsh Saint (FR), trained by C.A.McBratney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount went lame in running and was pulled up.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed C. McGivern, rider of Punitive, concerning his use of the whip during this race following a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer, Mr. A. Tyrell MRCVS, that he noted that the animal was marked post race. Photographic evidence was presented at this enquiry and verbal evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that C. McGivern was in breach of R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive force. Having taken his clean previous record into consideration, the Raceday Stewards cautioned C. McGivern on this occasion.

071F WKD H'cap Schase

P.J. O'Hanlon, rider of Turbojet (GB), trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled during this race.

L.A. McKenna, rider of Big Leg Up, trained by J.G.Cosgrave, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was pulled up having never travelled during this race.

071G Boardsmill Sires M'dn Hunters S'chase

The Raceday Stewards interviewed S. McParlan, trainer, concerning the failure to nominate a rider before the designated time for Shantou Show. Evidence was heard from the trainer who stated that he had nominated a rider in accordance with the provisions of Rule 195 but within minutes of the close of nominations, the rider withdrew his availability. He added that it was very difficult to find a rider as there were a number of Point to Points around the country today. He confirmed that he had been in contact with the HRI when trying to secure a rider. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards accepted the explanation on this occasion and allowed the request for Ms. C.L. McGoldrick to ride Shantou Show.

Mr P.J. O'Neill, rider of Custers Mistake, trained by John F. O'Neill, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was pulled up having never travelled during this race.

Mr S. Connor, rider of Soivegotachance, trained by Stephen McConville, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not handle the ground and pulled up.
