Ryan stated that he was using a new whip and stayed within the frequency limits. He suggested that the horse possibly marked himself off a stable wall prior to the race and was possibly light-skinned. He also produced his whip for the Stewards and photographic evidence. Dr. L. Hillyer, Chief Veterinary Officer, stated that the weals and markings were brought to her attention by a veterinary officer after the race and were still evident some time later. The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Martin Hassett, trainer following the winning performance of Harry's Hill (GB) in this race, which appeared to represent an improvement on its previous run. Having considered the report and liaised with the IHRB Handicapper, the Raceday Stewards noted its contents.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the final 50 yards involving Master Matt (GB), ridden by R.P. Whelan, deat heated for second place, and Michaela's Boy, ridden by Jason Hart, dead heated for second place, where it appeared the two horses came close together. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R.P. Whelan stated that any interference occurred almost on the line and was of little consequence. Jason Hart stated that he really wasn't aware of much interference. Lordan was unable to give evidence to the Stewards due to injury but the Stewards were satisfied that the incident was caused by his mount getting injured independently of any other runner and they took no further action.

Foley's evidence and stated that he took a precautionary look across and his horse launched at that stage. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that any interference which occurred was accidental and they took no further action.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Mrs John Harrington, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Bold Discovery (USA), placed first, as compared with its most recent run.
