237A Coolmore Stud Arizona Irish EBF M'dn

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Atlantic Coast, ridden by D. McMonagle, placed first, and Chantilly, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, placed sixth, where it appeared that Chantilly met with interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.A. Heffernan stated that he had to check his mount when the winner moved inwards while passing at speed. D. McMonagle stated that his mount leaned right after he applied his whip once but he quickly rebalanced his mount. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

W.J. Lee, rider of Queen Of Thunder, trained by K.J. Condon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away and that she rolled a little to her right under pressure.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Lord Church, trained by M. Halford & T. Collins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

D. McMonagle, rider of Atlantic Coast, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount took a step right when given a left-handed strike.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Settlement (GB), trained by D.K. Weld, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount met with interference approaching the furlong pole.

J.A. Heffernan, rider of Chantilly, trained by A.P. O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stumbled coming out of the stalls. He also reported that he had to check at the furlong pole.

R. Whearty, rider of Beachbabebiddy, trained by Francis Casey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was very slowly away.

237D Alpha Centauri Debutante Stakes

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Pearls And Rubies (USA), trained by A.P. O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on her right fore post race.

S. Foley, rider of Betula (GB), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Mysteries, trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped left from the stalls.

237E Neville O'Byrne Memorial EBF (F) H'cap

S. Foley, rider of Youcrackmeup (GB), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged left in the straight.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed S. Foley, rider of Youcrackmeup (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his mount had run around after turning into the home straight and that he had used his whip on a few occasions for corrective purposes. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards accepted the evidence of S. Foley and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Sugaree, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

237G Holden Plant Rental H'cap

The IHRB Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Bring Us Paradise (GB), trained by Luke Comer, was found to have blood at both nostrils post race.

J.A. Heffernan, rider of God Knows, trained by Richard Brabazon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around under pressure.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Slieve Binnian, trained by M. Halford & T. Collins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount wandererd around when he hit the front.

237H Keeper's Heart Irish Whiskey H'cap

J. Kearney, rider of Shimmerz, trained by Charles O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was tight for room two furlongs out.

D. McMonagle, rider of Different Look (FR), trained by Ian Patrick Donoghue, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was denied a clear run.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Following a request from broadcasters, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for a one minute delay to races two, six and seven and a two minute delay to race five.
