The following trainer was fined €200 for the non-notification of a Veterinary Certificate in accordance with the provision of Rule 194(v) (vi):

Conor O'Dwyer for Prosperity Square at Cork 3rd November 2013.

The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

D. T. Hughes, trainer of Somethingwonderful declared in error.€200 fine.

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

R. Walsh replaced P. Townend on Darroun, trained by W.P. Mullins (Race 4)(Stewards permission)
D. N. Russell replaced B.J. Geraghty on Rogue Angel, trained by M.F.Morris (Race 4)(Stewards permission)
B.R. Dalton replaced A.P. Crowe on Sword Fish, trained by C.Roche (Race 5)(Injured)

A.P. Heskin, rider of Caduceus trained by P. Hughes, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was badly hampered by a faller.

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr.P.L.Malone, that K.C. Sexton, rider of Carry Each Other,had weighed in 1.8Ibs overweigh. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Rule 231 and having taken his previous record in this regard into account,they therefore suspended him for two race days. Mr Eddie Irwin, trainee Steward attended this enquiry. .

B.J. Cooper, rider of Bold Optimist trained by D. T. Hughes, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount travelled well until making a bad mistake at the third last, got tired thereafter and pulled up.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Bold Optimist, trained by D. T. Hughes, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a graze on the inside of the right fore and on the outside of the left hind fetlock.

The Stewards held an enquiry following a request from M.F.Morris, trainer of Rogue Angel, to substitute the nominated rider B.J. Geraghty, with D. N. Russell, as his intended mount Road To Riches also owned by Gigginstown House Stud was withdrawn lame. M. F. Morris stated that D. N. Russell is the retained rider for Gigginstown House Stud and he wished for him to ride the horse. He further added that he only became aware on his arrival today at Cork that Road To Riches was a non runner which consequently made D. N. Russell available. M. F. Morris further informed the Stewards that B. J. Geraghty was then made aware of the request to substitute him with D. N. Russell and accepted this decision.Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed the substitution in this instance in accordance with the provisions of Regulation 3, but informed M.F. Morris that they were not entierly satisfied with the situation in which he found himself in and referred the matter to the Chief Executive of the Turf Club for further investigation. Mr J. McGuire, Acting Steward was not present at this enquiry. Mr Eddie Irwin, trainee Steward attended this enquiry.

E.J. O'Connell, rider of Lortzing trained by Karl Thornton, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly left handed and pulled up.

P.A. Gallagher, rider of Baidin Fheilimi trained by Patrick Cronin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost its action and was pulled up.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Fresh By Nature, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
