The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

C. Horgan rode Talking Tough (reserve), trained by S.M. Duffy (Race 1)
C.J. MacRedmond rode Leclerc (GB) (reserve), trained by Adrian McGuinness (Race 1)
J.M. Sheridan rode Finke River (GB) (reserve), trained by James McAuley (Race 3)
W.J. Lee rode Silver Salver (reserve), trained by W. McCreery (Race 6)

181A Meath Farm Machinery Claiming Race

R. Whearty, rider of Harbanaker, trained by Leanne Breen, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to check his mount one and a half furlongs down.

C.J. MacRedmond, rider of Leclerc (GB), trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from James McAuley, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Sunday Sovereign (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. James Gough, Authorised Representative of the trainer, stated that a good positive ride and a step up in trip may of helped to bring about today's apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident just after the final bend involving Texas Sun, ridden by G.F. Carroll, unplaced, Harbanaker, ridden by R. Whearty, unplaced and Yester, ridden by D.W. O'Connor, unplaced, where it appeared R. Whearty had to check his mount. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence R. Whearty stated that he switched left turning in and received slight pressure from his outside. D.W. O'Connor stated that his mount was tiring and leaned in off Texas Sun after receiving minimal contact. G.F. Carroll stated that his mount was wearing first time blinkers and felt he kept his mount as straight as he could. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that any interference which occurred was accidental and they took no further action.

The Raceday Stewards informed Mervyn Torrens, trainer that Ben Milis, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

181B Irish EBF Median Sires Series (C&G) M'dn

J.J.G. Ryan, rider of So Diligent (GB), trained by T.G. McCourt, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran very green.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Vangelis, trained by Jack W. Davison, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right up the straight.

J.A. Powell, rider of Chou Chou, trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ducked at the rails before turning in.

181C Grimme Ireland H'cap

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Fastman, trained by John C. McConnell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at both nostrils post race.

J.J.G. Ryan, rider of The Bog Bank, trained by T.G. McCourt, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right up the straight.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Finke River (GB), trained by James McAuley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not get much of a run in the straight because of the horse in front of him running around.

181D Phil & Patsy Kierans Memorial M'dn

Following a request from broadcasters, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for a one minute delay to this race.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Double Jabbed (GB), trained by David Marnane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was unbalanced on the track.

181E Western Motors CUPRA H'cap

Following a request from broadcasters, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for a one minute delay to this race.

J.A. Powell, rider of Scarlet Dancer, trained by James McAuley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount anticipated the start.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Derrinlaur Spender, trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran short of room in the first furlong.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Matthew J. Smith, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Eruption, placed second (dead heated for second), as compared with its recent form. Matthew J. Smith stated that the reapplication of blinkers may have helped to bring about today's improvement and also that her best form is over five furlongs. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Adrian McGuinness, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Zig Zag Zyggy, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Adrian McGuinness stated that a good strong early pace coupled with the removal of all headgear helped to bring about todays improvement. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

181F Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

Following a request from broadcasters, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for a one minute delay to this race.

The Raceday Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Helens Delight, trained by J.F. O'Shea, for failing to present the horse for identification to an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (i).

G.F. Carroll, rider of Miss McHenry, trained by G.M. Lyons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was wiped out on the top bend.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Celebrating Ethel, trained by Andrew Kinirons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount rolled in on the bend.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at the top bend involving Celebrating Ethel, ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed fourth, Dubeyeracingcraic, ridden by L.T. McAteer, unplaced and Miss McHenry, ridden by G.F. Carroll, unplaced, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence G.F. Carroll stated that his mount was nearly put through the rail and that she did well to stand up. L.T. McAteer stated that his filly was getting tired when the incident happened but he felt he kept his own line. R.P. Whelan stated that he was following Dubeyeracingcraic and she shifted out right and his filly baulked a bit. He also stated that it was a split second decision to get to the rail. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found R.P. Whelan in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden improperly and having considered his record in this regard, they suspended him for 7 days.

181G(i) Prizm H'cap (Division One)

Following a request from broadcasters, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for a one minute delay to this race.

C.J. MacRedmond, rider of Anycity, trained by J. Larkin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

181G(ii) Prizm H'cap (Division Two)

J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Dollar Value (USA), trained by T.G. McCourt, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped awkwardly from the starting stalls.
