The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:
J. Williamson replaced E. Staples on Teddy's Acre, trained by John Joseph Hanlon (Race 3)(injured).091A Irish Stallion Farms EBF (M) M'dn H'dle
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ballyhahill, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
091B Copper Coast M'dn H'dleR.A. Doyle, rider of Ballet Queen (GB), trained by Mark Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly and pulled up.
T. Power Roche, rider of Kentucky Beach (FR), trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a few jumping errors and didn't handle the ground.
At the request of the Raceday Stewards, Jordan Canavan, rider of Colesberg, trained by J.P. Flavin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount didn't come down the hill well and also didn't handle the ground.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Kentucky Beach (FR), trained by P.J. Rothwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have a superficial graze on his left fore and left hind but to be otherwise post race normal.
091C Adare Manor Opportunity M'dn H'dleThe Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident after jumping the third last involving Mr Master Mac, ridden by T.E. O'Connor, Dont Tell Jack, ridden by C.G. O'Dwyer, Jackmoon (FR), ridden by Jordan Canavan, and Lunar Majesty, ridden by R.A. Berry, where it appeared Mr. Master Mac and Lunar Majesty got marginally tight for room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
091D Anne Valley Walk H'cap H'dleJ.W. Kennedy, rider of King Of Westeros, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left throughout.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed the riders first approach to the start in this race. Having viewed the recording of the start, listened to the recording of Starters audio and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
091E Core Bullion Traders H'cap S'chaseThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Aclass, ridden by Jordan Canavan, and Nettuno Italia, ridden by D.J Gilligan where it appeared Aclass caused interference to Nettuno Italia. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Jordan Canavan said he was making his way towards the rail when he spotted a horses head on his inside at which point he straightened up and went about trying to win his race. D.J. Gilligan said he saw a gap down the inside and had the horse to get into it. He added he received some interference on the run to the last. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Jordan Canavan was in breach of R214 in that he had ridden improperly and having considered his clean record, the Raceday Stewards suspended him for seven racedays.
GENERAL INFORMATIONThe following Raceday Stewards acted on behalf of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board at this race meeting: Mr. Denis Hickey (Chairman), Mr. Gerard Coughlan, Mr. Con O'Mahony, Mr. L. Aspell.
For this race meeting, the Raceday Stewards suspended the ‘Starting Procedures for Tape Starts’, and the IHRB suspended Rule 208 (i) and Rule 209 (i).
Following the running of Race 2 the IHRB Clerk of the Course changed the going on both tracks to yielding.
