307A Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dnD.P. McDonogh, rider of Kathy M (USA), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered turning in. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
N.M. Crosse, rider of Eagles Voice, trained by John S. O'Donoghue, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Chattering Classes, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, Light Of Saxony, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, and Silver Kiss, ridden by C.D. Hayes where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.A. Heffernan stated that Silver Kiss went left at the line. C.D. Hayes stated that his mount jinked left close to the line. J.M. Sheridan stated that he didn't contribute to the incident. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident rounding the home bend involving Beach, ridden by J. Cleary, and Chattering Classes, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J. Cleary stated that it got marginally tight but his mount overreacted and rounded the bend badly. J.A. Heffernan stated that he was clear of Beach. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
307B Irish EBF Auction Series M'dn (Smullen)J.A. Heffernan, rider of Dawnmore, trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lay into the right under pressure.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.A. Heffernan, rider of Dawnmore, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race where it appeared he used his whip down the shoulder. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his mount was wandering around in the straight which he had done on his previous start. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
307C1 BOYLE Sports H'capThe Raceday Stewards fined P.J.F. Murphy, trainer, €65 for failing to fit the declared cheekpieces to Free Solo, prior to entering the parade ring.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed C. Cusack, rider of Starflow, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisified that C. Cusack was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (third offence), they suspended him for eight racedays. C. Cusack was accompanied by C.D. Hayes in this enquiry.
C. Cusack, rider of Starflow, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran off the first bend a small bit.
J.S. Dalton, rider of Miss Ivor, trained by P.O'Rourke, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.
307C2 BOYLE Sports H'capReese Holohan, rider of Covert Legend (GB), trained by Aidan Melia, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.
Orla Tynan, rider of Duchess Anne, trained by Mrs Denise Foster, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her mount stumbled leaving the stalls.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into the start of this race, where it appeared the race may have started when the back gates were not fully closed in stall 16. Evidence was heard from J.A. Heffernan, rider of Desert Swing and the IHRB Starter. J.A. Heffernan stated that he had communicated with the Starter that he was happy to proceed. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
307D Welcome Back To Thurles H'capR. Whearty, rider of Glen Echo, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to take a precautionary check as the horse in front of him was retreating. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
C. Cusack, rider of Desert Friend, trained by P.J.F. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout.
Reese Holohan, rider of Queen Of Astolat, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount slipped turning out of the home straight.
R. Donaghue-Leahy, rider of Just Another Eagle, trained by Patrick J.Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount slipped turning into the back straight.
The Raceday Stewards informed the Clerk of the Course of these reports who then applied sand to the bends and was happy to proceed.
307E Killinan H'capThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Vantage Code, trained by Emmet Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
K.G. Kennedy, rider of Pierre Grosse (GB), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left throughout.
B.M. Coen, rider of Vantage Code, trained by Emmet Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount slipped a little turning into the back.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed A.J. Slattery, rider, concerning his riding inside the last 50 yards where it appeared he may have eased his mount. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he anticipated The Austrian was drifting in towards him so he had to sit for a few strides. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
307F www.thurlesraces.ie M'dnA.C. Persse, rider of Mothel Abbey, trained by Patrick J.Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left throughout.
G.M. Ryan, rider of Yogini, trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran short of room at the top of the straight.
At the request of the Raceday Stewards, G.F. Carroll, rider of Fiveonefive, trained by Cian Collins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was slowly away and outpaced throughout.
