The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Daire James McConville rode Elusive Prince (reserve) trained by Henry de Bromhead (Race 1)

101A Adare Manor Opportunity Final H'cap H'dl

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Como Park, ridden by M.P. O'Connor, and West Away, ridden by D.A Kidd where it appeared horses came close together. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. M.P. O'Connor stated that he was up front, kept his racing line up the straight, felt pressure from his inside where a horse tried to go for a gap that wasn't there. D.A. Kidd stated that he saw a gap he thought he'd get through and the other horse leans right. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found D. A. Kidd, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly (first offence) and having taken his record into account suspended him for two race days.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Walk Away Harry, trained by C.Byrnes, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

A.P. Kelly, rider of Park Of Kings, trained by Paul Nolan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was badly hampered at the second last.

101B Connolly's RED MILLS EBF Auct.Hdle Final

C.M. Quirke, rider of Mont Beuvray, trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident rounding the final bend involving Black Bamboo, ridden by D.J Gilligan, placed third, Backtonormal, ridden by S.W. Flanagan, placed first and Purse Price (GB), ridden by J.W. Kennedy, unplaced, where it appeared that Backtonormal moved slightly left off heels into the path of Purse Prince (GB) which resulted in Black Bamboo taking a false step. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

101C Louis Fitzgerald Hotel H'dle

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident close to the winning line involving Binge Worthy, ridden by D.J Gilligan, placed fourth, and Beau Walking, ridden by Sam Ewing, placed fifth, where it appeared horses bumped. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

101D Channor Real Estate Group Novice H'dle

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.W. Kennedy, rider of Stellar Story, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated his mount was responding for the whip. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g)(frequency)(fourth offence) and having taken his record into account suspended him for 16 race days.

101E Race & Stay At Punchestown INH Flat Race

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Jasmin De Vaux (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have spread its right hind shoe but was otherwise post race normal.

101G HSS Hire H'cap S'chase

J.W. Kennedy, rider of The Goffer, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

S. O'Callaghan, rider of Hereditary Rule, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the second last.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed C.P. Millar, rider of Embittered, concerning his use of the whip in the latter strages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated his mount was responding. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g)(frequency) and having taken his record into account suspended him for four race days.

101H Weatherbys GSB EBF (Mares) INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the straight involving Familiar Dreams (GB), ridden by Miss A.B. O'Connor, placed first, and Mozzies Sister, ridden by Mr D.L. Queally, placed second, where it appeared Familiar Dreams (GB) crossed Mozzies Sister. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. D.L Queally stated that as they turned in he was coming to join Familiar Dreams (GB) when she hung left and carried him across the track after which he runs on well and he felt the check cost him the race. Miss A.B. O'Connor stated that her mount was hanging left, she had her stick in the correct hand, she felt she caused no check and Mr. Queally never had to stop riding. She also felt Mozzies Sister had half a furlong to make up the ground but the best mare won. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Familiar Dreams (GB) had caused interference to Mozzies Sister she did not improve her finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action.

Miss A.B. O'Connor, rider of Familiar Dreams (GB), trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount hung left in the straight.
