J.A.Hefferan Appeal - Galway 3rd August 2007

The Appeals Body, Division One, Mr. Ronan Keane (in the Chair), Mr. C.E. O’Sullivan and Mr. Liam Ward met at the Stand House Hotel, The Curragh, Co. Kildare on Friday 10th August 2007 to consider an appeal from J.A. Heffernan, Rider, against the decision of the Acting Stewards at Galway on 3rd August 2007 when following the running of the Arthur Guinness Handicap he was suspended for three racedays for careless riding.
Evidence was heard from M.F. O’Donoghue, Stewards Secretary, D.P. McDonogh, Rider of Dark Arts (USA) and J.A. Heffernan.
Having considered the evidence the Appeals Body allowed the appeal.
The case was presented to the Committee by Mr. Brian Price, Wilkinson & Price Solicitors, Naas, Co. Kildare.
