C.M Hogan, rider of Diamond Jimmy, trained by Miss J.M.Lee, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount went to run out at the first.
At the request of the Raceday Stewards, T. Power Roche, rider of Youknowme, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran green and didn't jump well enought to lie up early on.
199C Adare Manor Opportunity H'cap H'dleThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend out of the back straight involving Party President, ridden by A. Leahy, Hees Dynamite, ridden by C.M Hogan, Swelltime, ridden by J. Coen, Gekkota (FR), ridden by J.G. Gilligan, and Minority Interest, ridden by E.M. O'Sullivan where it appeared Gekkota clipped a heel and came down. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. A. Leahy said he got a bit tight for room. C.M. Hogan said although he did not receive contact he did get pressure from his outside causing him to tighten the horse on his inner. J. Coen said he rode a wide line approaching the bend and left his mount drift in a little but thought he had left enough room. J.G. Gilligan said he got tight from both sides and clipped a heel. E.M. O'Sullivan said he received pressure from his outside causing him to check. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found J. Coen was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his clean record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended him for five racedays.
J.P. Shinnick, rider of Silent Selector, trained by G.E. O'Leary, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was brought down by the faller.
199D KPH Construction 110 Final H'cap H'dleJ.W. Kennedy, rider of Penny Express, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that the ground was too soft for his mount.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Shadow Paddy, trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
199F Kerry Drains INH Flat RaceMr C.J. Shine, rider of Xury, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout and pulled up lame. The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Xury and reported the animal to be post race normal.
199G Kate Kearney's (Ladies P-Am) Flat RaceThe Raceday Stewards interviewed Ms L.A. Byrne, rider of Minella Supreme, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted and apologised for her misuse of the whip. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied the rider was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered her clean record, they suspended her for two racedays.
