The IHRB is responsible for safeguarding the reputation of Irish horseracing through robust and transparent regulatory practices implemented with uncompromising integrity by a focused and professional team.

The IHRB employs seven professional Stipendiary Stewards who work alongside Raceday Stewards drawn from a wider panel of approximately 140 experienced individuals. IHRB Raceday Stewards collectively provide over 1,600 days of voluntary service annually.

The IHRB has a relentless focus on the safety and well-being of our human and equine participants, our Veterinary team take in the region of 5,500 equine anti-doping samples a year, which are analysed at IHFA accredited laboratory, LGC in Newmarket. The IHRB equine anti-doping programme remains a top priority for the organisation and our approach will continue to evolve in line with international best practice.
