The Stewards enquired into possible interference close to the finishing line involving Sicario, ridden by D.R. Fox, placed fifth, The Last Emperor (GB), ridden by B. Hayes, placed fourth and Sharg, ridden by A. Ring, placed sixth, where it appeared that Sharg got short of room and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that any interference was accidental in nature and they therefore made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Bachelor, trained by Noel C. Kelly, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
182B Durkin Bros Electrical M'dn H'dleThe Stewards enquired into possible interference after jumping the last hurdle involving Argent Et Or (FR), ridden by B. Hayes, placed second and Benefit Run, ridden by L.P. Dempsey, placed first, where it appeared that Benefit Run cut across Argent Et Or. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that while unintentional interference was caused it was not sufficient to improve the winning position of Benefit Run. The Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action.
R. K. Watson, trainer of Our Bonus, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge lost a front shoe in running.
