The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

Mrs John Harrington, trainer of The Very Man (Ran recently) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

100A Dooley Insurance Cross Country S'chase

B. Browne, rider of Best Behavior trained by Oliver McKiernan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Best Behavior, trained by Oliver McKiernan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at the nostrils post race.

100B Colm Quinn BMW H'cap S'chase

J.B. Foley, rider of Regina Dracones trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a very bad mistake at the third last fence and was pulled up.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Anibale Fly (FR), trained by A.J.Martin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a nasal discharge from the left nostril.

100C Coolmore Irish EBF (M) Champion H'dle

The Stewards interviewed Aidan Coleman, rider of Epatante (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, Aidan Coleman accepted that he was in breach of the whip guidelines and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Aidan Coleman was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his clean previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Aidan Coleman for one raceday.

100E Palmerstown House Pat Taaffe Hcap Schase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Popong, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

Rachael Blackmore, rider of Popong trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount stopped quickly.

100F Tote Always SP Or Better H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed Mr R. James, rider of Fastorslow (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, Mr R. James accepted that he had breached the whip guidelines and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr R. James was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Mr R. James for three racedays.

E. Walsh, rider of Hes A Hardy Bloke trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount felt lame after the final hurdle and was pulled up.

100G The Buggyman (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

The Stewards reviewed the start of this race where Lacken Blaze, ridden by Mr T. Power Roche failed to take part. Having viewed the recording of the start and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that a fair start had been effected and that no further action was warranted.

The Stewards informed Peter Maher, trainer, that his charge Lacken Blaze, could be liable to a suspension should there be a repeat of his unruly behaviour at the start anytime in the future.

S. O'Callaghan, rider of Layla Grace trained by Thomas Dowling, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left during this race.
