The Stewards interviewed Gerard Michael Hussey, trainer of Lariat Go, in relation to a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer, Ms. J. Taylor, who could not positively identify the animal from the passport presented. Ms. Taylor stated that the markings on the passport were not accurate and a microchip could not be located. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that he has his charge since September 2018, that he received the passport from the owner- breeder and he could not explain the inaccuracies in the passport presented. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Lariat Go from this race and referred the matter to a senior official of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board for further investigation in accordance with Rule 90.

Under the provisions of Rule 90, the Stewards allowed Watar Creek, trained by J.P.Dempsey, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the error identified in the certification of vaccinations would be corrected in accordance with Rule 91 within the timeframe specified.

The Stewards advised P.J. Rothwell, trainer of Time For an Oscar, that a repeat performance of his charge, who was withdrawn from the start having refused to race, would render his charge liable to future sanctions.

At the request of the Stewards, C.R. King, rider of Nibblers Charm, trained by Ray Hackett, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount travelled well early on, made a mistake and took some time to regain confidence.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the last 100 yards of this race involving Pakens Rock, ridden by D.F. O'Regan, placed fifth and Tahan, ridden by K. Brogan, placed fourth, where it appeared that Pakens Rock ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Tahan did not improve its finishing position having caused interference, and they therefore made no alteration to the Judge's placings. The Stewards were, however, of the opinion that K. Brogan was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard suspended him for 2 racedays.
