The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Irish Horse Racing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer, that she was unable to positively identify Optoforce, trained by Gordon Elliott, from the markings contained in the passport presented for this horse. Evidence was heard from Ian Amond, Authorised Representative for Gordon Elliott and from the I.H.R.B Veterinary Officer. Ian Amond stated that they believed the horse dropped to the yard was Optoforce and he was unable to explain the discrepancy. Having considered the report and the evidence, the Stewards, pursuant to the provisions of Rule 90(iv), ordered the withdrawal of Optoforce and referred the matter to a Senior Racing Official for further investigation.

R.A. Doyle, rider of Vector Belle, trained by Gillian Scott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran very keen.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Samadabad (FR), ridden by D.E. Mullins, placed third, and Media Naranja, ridden by J.C. Mullins stated that he was slow away from the previous hurdle and he was not really in the gap and never able to fill it. J. C. Gainford stated that he rode to the rails and felt he was clear. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action
