The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Matthew J. Smith, trainer of It Takes Time (lame - late withdrawal) - €200

272A Bar One Racing App M'dn H'dle

At the request of the Stewards, R.P. Treacy, rider of Western Rambler, trained by Eoin Doyle, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was a little green and got in very close to one of the hurdles down the back and he then gave his mount time to recover and that the race had got away from him at that stage.

The Stewards interviewed R.A. Doyle, rider of Jon Ess, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found R. A. Doyle in breach of Regulation 10.3 (g), excessive frequency. Having considered R. A. Doyles record in this regard the stewards suspended R. A. Doyle for two racedays.

P. Merrigan, rider of Empire Escape trained by D.Broad, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount completed slowly.

Under the provisions of Rule 90, the Stewards allowed Calibrator, trained by Eoin Griffin, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the error identified in the certification of vaccinations would be corrected in accordance with Rule 91 within the timeframe specified.

272B Meath Farm Machinery H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined The Rubinator, trained by Ross O'Sullivan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

272C Dun A Ri Blinds H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed D. Meyler, rider of Balgowlah, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned and photographic evidence was presented from Ms. Inge D'Haese, IHRB veterinary officier. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered all the evidence the Stewards found D. Meyler in breach of Regulation 10.3 (g), excessive frequency, and Regulation 10.3 (f), excessive force. Having considered D. Meyler's record in this regard they suspended D. Meyler for three racedays.

D.J. McInerney, rider of Lowtown Charlie trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount finished lame near fore.

The Stewards received a report from Miss. Colleen Murphy, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that D.N. Russell, rider of Lethal Steps (GB), weighed in at 1.4 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that D. N. Russell was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his record in this regard they cautioned D. N. Russell on this occasion.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Lowtown Charlie, trained by John C. McConnell, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race.

272E Emerald Facility Services Beg S'chase

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Mastermind trained by Charles O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad noise.

272F Baroneracing.com H'cap S'chase

T. Ryan, rider of Licklighter trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was brought to a standstill by the fallers at the fifth last fence and was pulled up.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Megalomaniac (GB), trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

272G Navan Racecourse (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Mr B. O'Neill, rider of Moonlit Wings, trained by Yvonne Latta, concerning his riding in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he believed that he had achieved the best possible placing for his horse and that his mounts race was run and he was satisfied that she had nothing left to give. Having viewed the recording and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanation given and took no further action.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Moonlit Wings, trained by Yvonne Latta, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Following a request from broadcasters, the Stewards granted permission for the following delays: Race 4 + 1 minute and race 6 + 1 minute.
