The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Past Time (GB), trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal but noted that the filly coughed once while being examined.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Rosslare Strand, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be slightly lame post race.

W.J. Lee, rider of Rosslare Strand trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled during this race.

D. McMonagle, rider of Mymomentintime (USA) trained by Miss Susan A Finn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away out of the starting stalls.

The Stewards enquired into the reason for the delay to the start of this race when Blackbearmountain, trained by R.K. Watson and ridden by K.J. Leonard, was led to the start having dismounted at an early stage. Marshal Watson, Authorised representative of R.K. Watson reported that this filly had recently joined their yard and while she had a tendency to throw her head about, any fractious behaviour was not expected today. He apologised for the delay caused. K.J. Leonard stated that he had been aboard the filly when she acted up and dislodged him outside the parade ring. Having remounted he quickly dismounted as she became fractious and he followed her on foot to the start. Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards in taking into consideration that Blackbearmountain was running today for the first time under the care of R.K. Watson, took no further action for the delay caused. They did, however, inform R.K. Watson, through his representative, that any repeat behaviour of a similar nature could render the filly liable to suspension under the provisions of Rule 14 (iii). .

The Stewards enquired into possible interference over two furlongs from the finish involving Lord Dudley, ridden by J. Coen, placed first, Breaking Story, ridden by S.P. Davis, placed third, and Mickey The Steel (GB), ridden by C.T. Keane, placed second, where it appeared that Lord Dudley drifted to the right and may have carried Mickey The Steel (GB). Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, C.T. Keane stated that he was on the quarters of Lord Dudley when that horse moved right into his racing line. He added that he switched inwards and was not good enough to take a gap and switched further left before running on in the closing stages. J. Coen stated that his mount drifted right when coming under pressure and was quickly corrected. S.P. Davis stated that he had maintained a straight racing line at this time. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings and took no further action. Shay Coen accompanied J. Coen at this enquiry.

The Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final furlong involving Saliteh (GB), ridden by C.T. Keane and Little Queenie, ridden by Ciara Flynn, where it appeared that Little Queenie made an inward manoeuvre and made contact with Saliteh (GB) when the whip was applied. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, C.T. Keane stated that Little Queenie drifted towards his mount but the rider had made a corrective measure to straighten her mount. He also advised the Stewards that Little Queenie was a difficult ride to the start. Ciara Flynn stated that her mount had bolted on the way to the start. She further stated that in running she kept to the outside from her draw 13 but her mount leaned in inside the last furlong and was not helped by using the whip once in her right hand before taking corrective measures. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found that Ciara Flynn was in breach of Rule 214 in that she had ridden carelessly. Having considered her previous record in this regard the Stewards cautioned her on this occasion.

The Stewards enquired into the failure of J.F. Levins to declare a 7lb penalty as required by Rule 194(ii)(a) for his charge Prisoner's Dilemma (GB) following his win at Dundalk two days ago. J.F. Levins stated that he was aware that a penalty had to be declared and had made an effort to do so but not in compliance with the wording of the rule. Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that J.F. Levins was in breach of Rule 194(ii)(a) and fined him €200 having taken his clean previous record into consideration.

J.A. Powell, rider of Guessthebill trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount took a good blow during this race.
